    • Brayan Bello falters late in no-decision
Brayan Bello was charged with four runs in 6 1/3 innings Sunday in a no-decision against the Tigers.

Advice: This one is on Alex Cora, who sent Bello back out for the seventh to face the top of the lineup for a fourth time even though he had given up runs in the fifth and sixth innings. Bello surrendered hits to two of the three batters he faced before being pulled, and Justin Slaten allowed both runners to score afterwards. Bello remains 6-2 with a 4.36 ERA. • Casey Mize walks four in four innings
Casey Mize surrendered three runs — two earned — and walked four in four innings Sunday against the Red Sox.

Advice: This really should have been worse, but the Red Sox went 0-for-2 stealing bases to help Mize out. It’s the third straight start in which Mize has failed to complete five innings, and his ERA sits at 4.70 after 11 starts. The Tigers aren’t going to remain patient for much longer. • Jackson Chourio has HR, three RBI in win
Jackson Chourio went 2-for-4 with a home run on three RBI in a 6-3 win over the White Sox on Sunday.

Advice: Chourio got the Brewers on the board in the second inning by socking a three-run home run 385 feet at 102.5 mph off the bat. It was his sixth home run of the season, and he now has 19 RBI on the year. Chourio has an elevated strikeout rate which has helped keep his batting average down, but he has shown a fantasy-friendly profile with the six home runs and seven steals. It may not fully click this year for the 20-year-old, but the future is certainly bright. Rotoworld 54 minutes ago

    • Freddy Peralta inconsistent in win over White Sox
Freddy Peralta allowed three runs on four hits in five innings in a win over the White Sox on Sunday.

Advice: Peralta was far more good than bad, striking out seven and walking one while allowing an 88.3 mph average exit velocity. He induced 21 whiffs on 56 swings for a 38 percent whiff rate and 32 percent CSW. However, he allowed three hits and a walk in the first inning and then a home run later to Paul DeJong to put a damper on his day. The right-hander now sports a 3.74 ERA but remains a must-start in fantasy baseball, especially next week against the Tigers. Rotoworld Today, 1:52 pm
    • Gunnar Henderson homers, reaches five times
Gunnar Henderson went 3-for-3 with a homer and two walks Sunday versus the Rays.

Advice: The homer, his 19th of the season, led off the bottom of the first. Henderson’s batting average has slipped in recent weeks — he came in at .221 in May after hitting .291 in April — but he’s still crushing it in terms of homers and walks. Rotoworld Today, 1:47 pm

    • Gerrit Cole will need at least two rehab starts
Yankees’ manager Aaron Boone told reporters on Sunday that Gerrit Cole (elbow) will need at least a couple of minor league rehab starts before he’s ready to make his 2024 debut.

Advice: Cole will make his first minor league rehab start at Double-A Somerset on Tuesday. His next turn will come five days after that. If he needs just two starts, his regular season debut would likely come against the Red Sox at some point during their series starting on June 14. If he needs a third tune-up in the minor leagues, it’s likely that his debut would come the following week against the Braves. As long as he avoids any setbacks, his return appears to be imminent. • Beginning rehab stint Tuesday
Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Sunday that Cole (elbow) will begin a rehab assignment Tuesday with Double-A Somerset, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

Advice: The 33-year-old has thrown multiple sessions of live batting practice over the past couple weeks and has now been cleared to pitch in minor-league games. Cole will require multiple outings in the minors before being ready to join the Yankees, but he's on track to make his season debut during the second half of June. Rotowire.com Today, 11:30 am

    • Gerrit Cole (elbow) starting Tuesday in Double-A
Gerrit Cole (elbow) will make a rehab start for Double-A Somerset on Tuesday.

Advice: Cole threw a 43-pitch simulated game Thursday, and now he’ll get a chance to face minor-league hitters as the next stop in his progression. The 33-year-old has missed all of 2024 thus far with his elbow injury, but assuming there are no setbacks, it’s likely the 2023 Cy Young winner will be back in action in the middle of June. • Royals place Wacha on 15-day IL with foot fracture
Royals placed RHP Michael Wacha on the 15-day injured list with a left foot fracture.

Advice: Wacha was seen using a walking boot Friday after being hit with a line drive during Friday’s start, and the Royals aren’t going to take any chances with the 32-year-old. This likely won’t be a minimum stint on the injured list, but his status should be updated in the coming days. Daniel Lynch was recalled to take Wacha’s place on the roster. Rotoworld Today, 8:36 am
