    Advice: Goodman made his second straight start at DH and belted a two-run blast in the ninth inning. The 24-year-old slugged two homers two days earlier while making a start at catcher. Goodman is still slashing just .195/.235/.455 of the season, but he's shown promising power with five long balls over 81 plate appearances.     Advice: Butler looks to be set to return to the major-league roster after being sent down in mid-May. With J.D. Davis being designated for assignment Monday, Butler will likely slot in as his replacement with Oakland. Butler has produced a .255 average with four home runs, nine RBI, 10 runs scored and seven stolen bases over 110 at-bats in 27 contests with Las Vegas since being demoted.     The A’s are set to recall Lawrence Butler from Triple-A Las Vegas, according to MLB.com’s Martín Gallegos.

    Advice: It’ll be interesting to see what the countermove is here. Unless someone is hurt, perhaps the A’s are ready to give up on Seth Brown or JD Davis.     Advice: Tauchman pulled up lame after legging out a two-out infield single in the bottom of the third, leaving the game after going 1-for-1 with a walk in the contest. He appeared to be grabbing at his left leg, but an exact diagnosis will likely come before the end of Monday's contest.
