• Snaps slump with homer
Burleson went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 5-4 extra-inning win over the Phillies.

Advice: Burleson entered Sunday 0-for-17 over his last four games. He ended the drought -- his longest of the season -- with a third-inning blast to put the Cardinals ahead 4-2. Burleson has been forced into a larger role with the Cardinals lacking several starters, including Lars Nootbaar (oblique), who is expected to be out for nearly all of June. Burleson is slashing .273/.302/.418 with six homers, 20 RBI, 15 runs scored and two stolen bases over 50 contests and should have a chance to continue playing on a near-everyday basis for the foreseeable future. • Drives in three runs
Ramos went 2-for-5 with a home run and three RBI in Sunday's loss to the Yankees.

Advice: Ramos went deep for a solo blast in the third inning and later knocked a two-run single in the sixth. It was his first career three-RBI performance at the MLB level, and he snapped an eight-game homerless drought. Ramos boosted his slash line to .286/.355/.400 with 16 RBI and seven extra-base hits through 93 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Sunday, 7:40 pm
  • Alec Burleson slugs two-run home run in loss
Alec Burleson slugged a two-run homer on Sunday night as the Cardinals rallied late to beat the Phillies in Philadelphia.

Advice: Burleson walloped a 405-foot (105.0 mph EV) two-run shot off of Taijuan Walker in the third inning that gave the Cardinals a 4-2 advantage. That would be his only hit in five at-bats on the evening. For the season, the 25-year-old slugger is slashing .273/.302/.418 to go with six long balls and 20 RBI. Rotoworld Sunday, 7:16 pm

  • Heliot Ramos homers, plates three runs in loss
Heliot Ramos went 2-for-5 with a homer and three RBI on Sunday, but it wasn’t enough to lead the Giants to victory over the Yankees.

Advice: Ramos clubbed a 405-foot (108.2 mph EV) solo shot off of Nestor Cortes in the third inning that gave the Giants a 2-1 lead. He then delivered a go-ahead two-run single in the sixth inning that put the Giants on top 5-3. The 24-year-old outfielder struck out in each of his other three at-bats on the night. For the season, he’s now hitting .286/.355/.440 with three homers and 16 RBI and a stolen base in 84 at-bats. Rotoworld Sunday, 5:35 pm
  • Jake Diekman blows save
Jake Diekman allowed two runs on Sunday to blow the save for the Mets against the Diamondbacks. He recorded just one out.

Advice: Diekman was called upon for the save as the Mets continue to shuffle their closer role in the wake of Edwin Díaz’s struggles and recent injury. Ketel Marte took the lefty Diekman deep as a right-handed batter, his better side of the plate, as he did the same to left-handed starter José Quintana in the first inning. It’s hard to know who will get the next save chance in New York, but it likely won’t be Diekman. Rotoworld Sunday, 1:46 pm
  • Getting afternoon off
Moreno is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mets.

Advice: Moreno will get some rest for the series finale after he started at catcher each of the past three days while going 2-for-12 with a double and two runs scored. Tucker Barnhart will step in behind the dish Sunday. Rotowire.com Sunday, 6:56 am
  • Good to go Sunday
Gurriel (illness) will start in left field and bat third Sunday against the Mets.

Advice: The veteran outfielder was scratched from Saturday's lineup due to flu-like symptoms, but he's back in the starting nine for Sunday's series finale in Queens. Gurriel had a rough time at the plate in May and finished the month with a .213/.245/.287 slash line in 25 games. Rotowire.com Sunday, 6:48 am
  • Scratched Saturday
Gurriel was scratched from Arizona's lineup ahead of Saturday's game versus the Mets.

Advice: It isn't immediately clear why Gurriel was taken out of the lineup, but the Diamondbacks should provide more information on his status relatively soon. In the meantime, Jake McCarthy will start in left field and bat eighth. Rotowire.com Saturday, 10:45 am
  • Lourdes Gurriel Jr. scratched from Saturday’s lineup
Lourdes Gurriel Jr. has been scratched from Saturday’s lineup.

Advice: No word yet on the reason for the change. It’ll be Jake McCarthy taking over in left field on Saturday afternoon against the Mets at Citi Field. Rotoworld Saturday, 10:42 am
