• Rejoins roster
The Reds activated Stephenson (personal) from the family medical emergency list Tuesday.

Advice: Stephenson was away from the club for a few days following the birth of his child but is back for the start of its series in New York against the Yankees. Austin Wynns was designated for assignment in a corresponding move. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:51 am
  • Swipes ninth bag
Springer went 1-for-4 with a stolen base in Monday's loss to the Astros.

Advice: The veteran outfielder extended his hitting streak to six games while pilfering his ninth bag of the year in nine attempts. Springer is batting .550 (11-for-20) with two doubles, three homers, four runs and 10 RBI during his heater, but he still has a long way to go climb out of his early-season hole -- his .641 OPS is well below his .824 career mark. • Cracks 17th homer in win
Alvarez went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer and a walk in Monday's 3-1 victory over the Blue Jays.

Advice: The Houston designated hitter provided two insurance runs by launching a 397-foot homer off Zach Pop in the ninth inning to extend the Astros' lead to 3-0. Alvarez has opened July nicely on the tails of a scorching June in which he hit .349 (30-for-86) with seven homers, 19 RBI and 20 runs scored. The 27-year-old's been the heart and soul of the Houston lineup this season, as expected, slashing .294/.372/.528 in 352 total plate appearances. Rotowire.com Monday, 3:33 pm
  • Transferred to emergency list
The Reds transferred Stephenson (personal) from the paternity list to the family medical emergency list Monday.

Advice: Stephenson had been away for the last three games while on the paternity list. By rule, players can miss 3-to-7 days while on the family medical emergency list, whereas he would have to be activated ahead of Tuesday's game against the Yankees had he remained on the paternity list. Luke Maile and Austin Wynns will handle catching duties for Cincinnati while Stephenson is away. Rotowire.com Monday, 2:06 pm
  • Nightengale: Rival execs say Alonso is staying put
According to USA Today’s Bob Nightengale, rival team execs believe it’s more likely that Pete Alonso is not traded at the deadline.

Advice: Nightengale mentioned that “rival teams who have expressed interest” in Alonso are “convinced” he will “definitely stay put as long as the Mets are within five games of the wild-card race.” As of now, the Mets are just two games back and are 12-4 over their last 16 games. If the Mets do keep Alonso beyond the trade deadline, they will need to then decide how badly they want to extend him, but it would take one of the biggest power bats off the trade block this season. • Jose Altuve gets an off day on Monday
Jose Altuve is not in the Astros lineup on Monday.

Advice: It’s a routine day off for Altuve, who was tremendous in June. Mauricio Dubon will play second base for the Astros on Monday against the Blue Jays, which will allow Chas McCormick to come back in the lineup in left field Rotoworld Monday, 9:22 am
  • Rare day off Monday
Altuve is out of the lineup for Monday's game in Toronto, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Advice: Altuve was ejected following the seventh inning of Sunday's 10-5 win over the Mets in 11 innings for arguing with the umpire that he fouled a ball off his foot, and he'll now receive some additional rest in what will be just his third day out of the lineup all season. Mauricio Dubon will cover second base Monday while Altuve sits in the series opener. Rotowire.com Monday, 9:22 am
  • Blasts 31st homer
Judge went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in an 8-1 win over the Blue Jays on Sunday.

Advice: Judge helped New York get off to a fast start with a 423-foot, two-run shot to center field in the first inning. He added a single later in the contest to notch his third straight multi-hit game, and the slugger has gone 7-for-12 with five RBI during that stretch. Judge had a monstrous June overall, slashing .409/.514/.864 with 11 home runs, 37 RBI, 25 runs and three stolen bases over 25 games. Rotowire.com Monday, 8:48 am

  • Three hits in win
Walker went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI in Sunday's 5-1 win over the Athletics.

Advice: Walker ignited the scoring in the fourth with an RBI base knock and later extended Arizona's lead with another RBI single in the seventh. It was his seventh game in June with multiple hits and his fifth game of the year with a trio of base knocks. Walker has been a steady source of run production for the Diamondbacks this season, slashing .256/.330/.472 with 17 homers, 53 RBI, 49 runs and a 33:88 BB:K in 358 plate appearances.
