• Taking seat Tuesday
Brujan is absent from the lineup for Tuesday's game versus the Brewers.

Advice: Brujan had made 16 straight starts, with the last nine of them coming at shortstop while Tim Anderson (back) was out. Anderson has returned to the Marlins' lineup at shortstop Tuesday, and the club is sticking with Otto Lopez at second base while Brujan gets a breather. Rotowire.com 4 minutes ago

  • Spencer Steer (ankle) remains out Tuesday vs. SD
Spencer Steer (ankle) is not in the starting lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Padres.

Advice: Steer will miss back-to-back games while dealing with his ankle injury. The 26-year-old will sit with Santiago Espinal at third and Jeimer Candelario again handling duties at first base. Rotoworld 21 minutes ago

  • Out again Tuesday
Steer (ankle) remains out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Padres.

Advice: Steer was held out of Sunday's game with an ankle injury and is apparently still not feeling well enough to play after Monday's off day. He did serve as a pinch hitter Sunday, suggesting the injury is more of a day-to-day situation. Rotowire.com 24 minutes ago

  • Ji Hwan Bae called up, starting in center vs. SF
Pirates recalled OF Ji Hwan bae from Triple-A Indianapolis.

Advice: Bae will start in center field Tuesday against the Giants and hit ninth. The 24-year-old had some flashes of success for Pittsburgh in 2023, but he isn’t likely to contribute in enough categories to be a recommended addition in fantasy circles. Rotoworld 29 minutes ago

  • Taking seat against southpaw
Julien is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Nationals.

Advice: Julien will yield to Kyle Farmer at second base with lefty Patrick Corbin on the mound for the Nationals. Julien is 0-for-12 with five strikeouts since May 15. Rotowire.com 30 minutes ago

  • Boone: DJ LeMahieu ‘on track’ for May 28 return
Aaron Boone told the Talkin’ Yanks podcast that he believes DJ LeMahieu (foot) is on track to return May 28.

Advice: That would be next Tuesday, for those curious. LeMahieu has been out for the entirety of 2024 while recovering from his foot fracture. The 35-year-old is currently on a rehab assignment, and he’ll likely continue that assignment through the end of the week. LeMahieu hasn’t been a valuable fantasy player over the last few years, but hitting in the New York lineup does add some intrigue. Rotoworld 46 minutes ago

  • Tracking toward May 28 return
Yankees manager Aaron Boone said in an interview on the Talkin' Yanks podcast of Jomboy Media on Tuesday that he expects LeMahieu (foot) to be activated from the 10-day injured list on May 28.

Advice: LeMahieu went 2-for-3 with three walks in six plate appearances during his two rehab games with Double-A Somerset following the resumption of his rehab assignment and is slated to be transferred to Single-A Hudson Valley to continue rehabbing. Boone also reiterated that LeMahieu will be the team's primary third baseman when he returns, although the plan is to mix in more off days for him initially since he's missed so much time. LeMahieu is coming back from a non-displaced fracture of his right foot. Rotowire.com Today, 10:32 am

  • Recall made official
The Pirates recalled Bae from Triple-A Indianapolis on Tuesday.

Advice: Bae began the season on the injured list with a hip issue and was optioned once healthy. He's earned a promotion following a terrific run at Indianapolis, though, during which he sported a .367/.479/.551 batting line with four home runs and seven stolen bases over 27 games. Bae is capable at a handful of positions but is mostly a second baseman and center fielder. He could see semi-regular duty. Rotowire.com Today, 9:10 am

  • Swipes bag in win
Lopez went 1-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base in Monday's extra-inning win over the Brewers.

Advice: Making another start at second base, Lopez continued a strong stretch that has seen him slash .306/.350/.528 over the last 11 games with two homers, a steal, four runs and eight RBI. The 25-year-old has been forming an effective double-play duo with Vidal Brujan of late, but with Tim Anderson (back) poised to come off the IL, it's not clear how the Marlins will divvy up playing time at the middle infield spots between the three players. Lopez has played well enough to remain in a significant role, however. Rotowire.com Today, 7:20 am
