• Dominates Atlanta
Castillo (3-4) earned the win over Atlanta on Tuesday, tossing seven shutout innings while allowing just three hits and a walk. He struck out seven.

Advice: Castillo was dominant once again en route to his third consecutive win. He registered 20 whiffs with 10 of those coming from his fastball and did not give up an extra-base knock. It's safe to say that Castillo is rounding back into ace form. Over his last four starts, he's posted a 1.38 ERA, 0.77 WHIP and 31:4 K:BB in 26 innings while allowing a .174 opponent batting average over that span. The 31-year-old will look to keep it rolling in a projected road start against the red-hot Twins next week. Rotowire.com 54 minutes ago
  • Jackson Holliday resumes mashing at Triple-A
Orioles 2B/SS prospect Jackson Holliday went 3-for-6 with an RBI on Tuesday for Triple-A Norfolk.

Advice: Holliday flopped in his first taste of the big leagues as Baltimore continued to challenge him from a development standpoint. However, that shouldn’t diminish fantasy managers’ long-term optimism. The latest multi-hit effort raises his Triple-A slash line to .321/.451/.554 with nine extra-base hits and one steal through 13 contests. He’ll get some extended time in the minors to continue ironing out contact issues and struggles against left-handed pitching, but it’s only a matter of time before he gets another shot in Baltimore. • Walks off Dodgers
Walker went 3-for-5 with two home runs and three RBI in Tuesday's 4-3 extra-inning win over the Dodgers.

Advice: Walker bookended the Diamondbacks' scoring with a solo home run in the fourth inning then a two-run, walk-off job in the bottom of the 10th. He closed out the month on a roll, going 10-for-24 (.417) with four homers and nine RBI over the final seven games. The first baseman has a team-high seven home runs and is tied for the team lead with 22 RBI. Rotowire.com Today, 3:54 am
  • Notches stolen base Tuesday
Rojas went 1-for-1 with three walks, a steal and a run scored in Tuesday's win over Atlanta.

Advice: Rojas reached base each time he stepped up to the plate and came around to score on a two-run homer by Jorge Polanco in the third. It was just the second time this season he's drawn multiple walks in a game. He's now led off in all four of his starts since J.P. Crawford (oblique) was placed on the IL last week and has managed two homers, four runs, a steal and a 4:1 BB:K in 16 plate appearances thus far. Crawford is expected to be sidelined for a little while longer and Rojas figures to remain atop of the order for the time being, at least against right-handed pitching. Rotowire.com Today, 3:53 am

  • Surgery needed
Nelson (shoulder) will undergo thoracic outlet surgery, Alex Weiner of Arizona Sports reports.

Advice: Nelson pitched through discomfort but finally succumbed to the pain and had his shoulder checked by a specialist, who confirmed the need for the procedure. Pitchers typically require at least 12 weeks of recovery time following TOS surgery, per MLB.com. Nelson was transferred to the 60-day injured list Tuesday, which opened a spot on the 40-man roster for left-hander Brandon Hughes, whose contract was purchased from Triple-A Reno. • Victor Mesa Jr. hits fifth homer Tuesday at AAA
Marlins OF prospect Victor Mesa Jr. walloped a three-run homer on Tuesday for Triple-A Jacksonville.

Advice: Mesa continues to make a compelling case to get a shot with the Marlins, who have been one of the worst teams in the big leagues so far this season. The 22-year-old top prospect is batting .312 (24-for-77) with five homers through 19 games this season at the Triple-A level. There isn’t a ton of speed here, but he’ll chip in the occasional theft and could make an impact for fantasy managers in deeper mixed leagues, if he gets the call this summer. • Creating a buzz: Walker hits walk-off HR in extras
Christian Walker homered twice including a two-run homer in the 10th inning to give the Diamondbacks a 4-3 win over the Dodgers on Tuesday.

Advice: In a game that was delayed due to a swarm of bees, Walker ended up creating the buzz. Sorry. The first baseman homered in the fourth inning off Landon Knack, but the big blow was a two-run shot in the bottom of the 10th off Nabil Crismatt to give Arizona the victory. Walker has homered in two of his last three games, and he’s up to 7 on the season with an .890 OPS and 22 RBI. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:25 pm
  • Andrés Muñoz gets five-out save against ATL
Andrés Muñoz pitched the final 1 2/3 innings to get a save against Atlanta on Tuesday.

Advice: Muñoz did allow an inherited runner to score with a throwing error. After that snafu the right-hander was absolutely dominant while picking up three strikeouts along with his fifth save of the season. Muñoz does have occasional hiccups with his command, but there aren’t many pitchers in baseball who have better swing-and-miss stuff. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:47 pm
  • Luis Castillo blanks Atlanta over seven to get win
Luis Castillo didn’t allow a run in seven innings of work to help the Mariners to a 3-2 win over Atlanta on Tuesday.

Advice: The Seattle pitching staff has been dominant over the past two weeks, and Castillo kept the run going. The 31-year-old ace allowed just three hits with one walk, and he struck out seven in a game where he wasn’t really challenged. Castillo was disappointing in his first three starts, but he’s been anything but over the last three weeks. He’ll face the Twins in Minnesota next week. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:47 pm
