    • Freddie Freeman drives in go-ahead run in eighth
Freddie Freeman singled in the go-ahead run in the eighth inning to give the Dodgers a 4-3 win over the Royals on Friday.

Advice: With the score tied at 3-3, Freeman drove in a run with an RBI single to give the Dodgers a 4-3 lead and ultimately the victory. The 34-year-old has now driven in 42 runs, and nine of those have come in the first half of June. To the surprise of absolutely no one, Freeman remains one of the best first baseman — and hitters regardless of position — in the sport. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:19 pm

    • Alec Bohm delivers decisive two-run double
Alec Bohm went 3-for-5 with double and two RBI on Friday in the Phillies’ dramatic 5-3 win over the Orioles.

Advice: Bohm’s eleventh inning double put a stamp on what was maybe the game of the year so far with the Orioles and Phillies going back and forth all night with a long rain delay in between. It was his third hit of the night and second batted ball over 100 MPH. He continues to be a force in the middle of the Phillies’ lineup. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:53 pm

    • Slated for sim game Tuesday
Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo said Gallen (hamstring) threw a 37-pitch bullpen Friday, and the right-hander is slated to throw a sim game Tuesday, Alex Weiner of ArizonaSports.com reports.

Advice: Gallen threw from the mound for the second time since landing on the injured list May 31 due to a right hamstring strain. It's another step in the right direction for the 28-year-old, who before the injury registered a 3.12 ERA and 1.14 WHIP over 57.2 innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:55 pm

    • Zac Gallen to throw simulated game on Tuesday
Diamondbacks’ manager Torey Lovullo told reporters on Friday that right-hander Zac Gallen (hamstring) will pitch in a simulated game on Tuesday.

Advice: The 28-year-old hurler is slated for three innings or around 45 pitches in the session. After that, he’ll likely need another simulated game — or perhaps a minor league rehab start — before he’s ready to return to the Diamondbacks’ rotation. Gallen has been sidelined since the end of May due to a right hamstring strain. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:27 pm

    • Return might come Monday
Turner (hamstring) could be activated from the 10-day injured list on Sunday or Monday, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

Advice: While the Phillies have been vague about Turner's timetable, Gelb notes that the shortstop ran again Friday and while he could "maybe" return Sunday, it will "probably" happen Monday. Philadelphia begins a six-game homestand on Monday against the Padres. Turner has been shelved since early May with a left hamstring strain and it's looking like he'll skip a rehab assignment. • Sitting against lefty
Lowe is out of the lineup for Friday's game against Atlanta.

Advice: Lowe will dodge a matchup with southpaw Chris Sale on Friday. Instead, Jose Caballero will bat eighth and play second. Lowe has produced multiple hits in three of his last eight games with a pair of homers during that stretch. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:46 pm

    • Yainer Diaz (finger) returns to action on Friday
Yainer Diaz (finger) returned to the Astros’ starting lineup for Friday’s series opener against the Tigers.

Advice: It’s the first time that the 25-year-old backstop has been in the lineup since he took a foul tip off of his finger during Sunday’s game. He’ll serve as the team’s designated hitter and bat fifth against tough left-hander Tarik Skubal while Victor Caratini does the catching for the Astros and will bat eighth. • Returning to lineup
Diaz (finger) is batting fifth and is the designated hitter for Friday's game against the Tigers.

Advice: Diaz missed three straight games with a right index finger injury, but he'll be back in action Friday. Considering his injury impacts his throwing and accuracy, Diaz could require a few more games at DH before going behind the dish. The 25-year-old had a six-game hit streak prior to being injured with four homers during that stretch. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:20 pm

    • Good to go Friday
Arenado (hand) is starting at third base and batting cleanup Friday against the Cubs, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.

Advice: The 33-year-old had X-rays come back negative on his right hand after being hit by a pitch Thursday, and he's apparently fine given he's back in the lineup a day later. Arenado is 8-for-20 with two doubles and two RBI in his past five games, and he has a .273/.340/.386 slash line through 12 contests in June. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:33 am
