      Advice: Though his long ball didn't travel nearly as far, Freeman followed Shohei Ohtani in the first inning Monday as the pair slugged back-to-back homers. Freeman has yet to fully flex his power this season -- he has just three homers through 167 plate appearances -- but he's been otherwise productive, as usual, with a .292/.407/.445 slash line, 21 RBI, 18 runs and a stolen base.       Freddie Freeman hit a solo homer in a victory Monday over the Marlins.

      Advice: Freeman went back-to-back with Shohei Ohtani, and his solo blast gave the Dodgers a 3-2 lead. The 34-year-old hasn’t shown a ton of pop in the early portion of the year, as it’s just the third homer for the veteran first baseman in 2024.       Marlins activated INF Jake Burger (oblique) off the 10-day injured list.

      Advice: Burger is back after spending just under three weeks on the injured list with a left oblique strain. He returns to a .228/.281/.421 slash with three homers and 15 RBI in 16 games.       Advice: As anticipated, Burger is back with the big club after missing the last few weeks rehabbing from a left intercostal strain. He was a big piece of the Marlins' offense before landing on the IL, recording three homers, 15 RBI and eight runs scored over his first 16 games of the 2024 season.       Advice: On the shelf since April 15 with a left intercostal strain, Burger looks to have checked out fine after completing the final phase of his recovery process this past week, when he joined Triple-A Jacksonville for a rehab assignment. He played in three games for Jacksonville, going 3-for-11 with two runs, two walks and one RBI in addition to playing nine innings at first base and 18 innings at third base. Once activated, Burger should immediately settle back in as the Marlins' everyday option at the hot corner, resulting in Vidal Brujan and Emmanuel Rivera losing out on playing time.       Advice: The 27-year-old was removed from Saturday's contest due to right hip tightness but is back in the starting nine a day later.       Phillies manager Rob Thomson said Bohm (hip) will be reevaluated Sunday and expects the third baseman to be in the lineup versus the Giants, Alex Coffey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

      Advice: Bohm was removed from Saturday's game versus the Giants with right hip flexor tightness, but his exit was considered precautionary and it sounds like he should be fine.       Alec Bohm (hip) told reporters after Saturday’s game that he expects to return to the Phillies’ lineup on Sunday.

      Advice: Bohm elaborated, saying “I’m good. I’ve played through much worse. It’s nothing really I’m concerned about.” Whether or not Phillies’ skipper Rob Thomson gives him that opportunity though, remains to be seen.
