      Tyler O’Neill was removed from Friday’s game against the White Sox due to right knee discomfort.

      Advice: O’Neill walked off the field with Boston’s training staff in the third inning of Friday’s contest at Guaranteed Rate Field after experiencing right knee discomfort earlier in the game while catching a routine fly out. The 28-year-old slugger returned earlier this week from the injured list following a nine-game absence due to right knee inflammation. He told reporters afterwards that he’s hopeful this latest incident won’t require another trip to the injured list, but it’s a concerning development that he’s still having knee issues.     • Blanks Twins for eighth win
      Keller (8-3) earned the win Friday over Minnesota, allowing seven hits and two walks over six scoreless innings. He struck out eight.

      Advice: It's the sixth straight win for Keller -- he hasn't allowed more than two earned runs in that span, pitching to a 1.13 ERA. The 28-year-old right-hander lowered his ERA to 3.16 on the season with a 1.24 WHIP and 74:22 K:BB across 13 starts (79.2 innings).       Miller did not factor into the decision in Friday's 10-9 loss to Kansas City, allowing seven runs on six hits and three walks over five innings. He struck out one.

      Advice: Miller posted his worst start of the season, allowing nine baserunners and seven runs, each marking season worsts. The Seattle right-hander was cruising through three scoreless innings before allowing four runs in the fourth, rounded out with a three-run blast by MJ Melendez. The outing pushed Miller's WHIP north of one, as it now stands at 1.02 to go with a 3.81 ERA over 75.2 innings.       Diaz went 3-for-5 with a home run and three RBI in Friday's 7-1 win over the Angels.

      Advice: Diaz opened the scoring with an RBI single in the first inning and added a two-run homer in the seventh. He's gone yard in four straight contests, an impressive run of power after he went 39 games without a homer prior to this surge. The catcher is at a .258/.285/.416 slash line, seven long balls, 32 RBI, 22 runs scored and 10 doubles over 56 contests. With Kyle Tucker (lower leg) going on the injured list Friday, Yordan Alvarez has seen more time in the field, giving the Astros the option of moving Diaz to designated hitter rather than having him at catcher full-time in the short term.       Bryce Miller gave up seven runs in five innings but didn’t factor in the decision against the Royals on Friday.

      Advice: Miller was handed an 8-0 lead, but he nearly gave it all back himself. The right-hander walked three while allowing eight hits — including a three-run homer to MJ Melendez — and he struck out just one in his worst start of the season.       Teoscar Hernández went 2-for-4 and doubled in two runs in the 11th to propel the Dodgers past the Yankees 2-1 on Friday.

      Advice: It was a scoreless game until Hernández delivered the contest’s first big hit off Ian Hamilton in the 11th. It actually gave him his first multi-RBI game since May 14.       Kyle Finnegan tossed a scoreless ninth inning and picked up the save against the Braves on Friday.

      Jordan Westburg went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run against the Rays on Friday.

      Advice: Westburg’s home run was his 10th of the season. He hit a two-run home run in the eighth inning to give the Orioles a 6-3 lead.     • Nick Lodolo limits Cubs to one run in victory
      Nick Lodolo held the Cubs to one run in six innings and struck out seven in the Reds’ 3-2 victory Friday.

      Advice: A Dansby Swanson homer was the only damage. Lodolo picked up his sixth win in nine starts this year, matching his total in 26 starts between 2022 and ’23. He’ll take a 2.92 ERA into his next start versus the Reds. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:43 pm
