• Smacks 10th homer
Ramos went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run in Thursday's 6-5 loss to the Cardinals.

Advice: The outfielder has been on a power surge with four homers over his last seven games, and he's added 11 RBI in that span. Ramos leads the Giants with 10 long balls this season, and every other player on the team with at least five homers has played in a minimum of 50 games compared to his 39. Ramos has added a .307/.382/.553 slash line with 35 RBI, 17 runs scored, one stolen base and seven doubles across 170 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:18 am
  • Heliot Ramos stays hot with 10th homer in loss
Heliot Ramos blasted a three-run homer on Thursday in the Giants’ loss to the Cardinals at Rickwood Field in Birmingham, Alabama.

Advice: Ramos put San Francisco on the board with a no-doubter to right field in the third inning off Cardinals starter Andre Pallante for his 10th round-tripper of the season. The 24-year-old post-hype prospect has put together a pretty remarkable breakout campaign so far, batting .307 (46-for-150) with 10 homers, 35 RBI and one steal through 39 games. He’s homered eight times in 18 games since June 1. Unreal. Rotoworld Thursday, 8:05 pm
  • Swipes two, scores two
McCarthy went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and two stolen bases Thursday against the Nationals.

Advice: McCarthy collected three singles for his third multi-hit performance in the last four games and his 13th of the season, lifting his batting average to .298 in the process. He also added a couple of steals to lift his season total to 12, while the two runs scored now gives him 25 across 188 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Thursday, 4:29 pm
  • Jake McCarthy has three hits, two steals in win
Jake McCarthy went 3-for-4 while stealing two bases in a 5-2 win for the Diamondbacks over the Nationals on Thursday.

Advice: He also scored two runs. McCarthy’s pair of steals give him 12 on the season, while the three-hit game sees his average improve to .298 on the campaign. The 26-year-old was a player who showed flashes of this type of talent in 2022, but at least over the first half of the season, it appears he’s put things together quite nicely. • Out against left-hander
McCarthy is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Nationals.

Advice: Left-hander Patrick Corbin is toeing the slab for the Nationals, so the lefty-hitting McCarthy will begin the game on the bench. Randal Grichuk will patrol right field for the Diamondbacks. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 8:51 am
  • Swipes eighth bag
Varsho went 1-for-4 with a stolen base in Tuesday's loss to the Red Sox.

Advice: Getting the start in center field and hitting cleanup, Varsho pilfered his third bag in the last 10 games and his eighth of the season in nine attempts. The 27-year-old sports a lopsided .216/.296/.446 slash line on the season with 11 homers, 35 RBI and 40 runs in 69 contests, but his .742 OPS still provides a significant improvement on the Blue Jays' other option in center field, Kevin Kiermaier (.545 OPS). • Goes yard again
O'Neill went 2-for-4 with a double, a solo home run and an additional run during Tuesday's 4-3 win over Toronto.

Advice: After swatting a pair of homers in the series opener against the Blue Jays, O'Neill homered again Tuesday, tagging Brendon Little for a game-tying solo shot in the eighth inning. O'Neill has generated multiple hits in four of his last five games, going 8-for-23 (.348) with four home runs, seven runs scored and seven RBI during that stretch. • Three doubles in win
Bleday went 3-for-4 with three doubles, two RBI and one run scored in Tuesday's 7-5 win over the Royals.

Advice: Bleday is on a tear, going 14-for-27 (.519) with five extra-base hits over his last seven games. The outfielder's surge has him up to a .261/.342/.478 slash line on the year. He's added 10 home runs, 27 RBI, 32 runs scored, 22 doubles and three triples over 75 contests, but he's yet to steal a base. Bleday has matched or exceeded nearly all of his counting stats from 82 games last year as he continues to enjoy a breakout campaign. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 11:03 pm

  • JJ Bleday doubles three times in Oakland’s win
JJ Bleday doubled three times and drove in two runs Tuesday in leading the A’s to a 7-5 win over the Royals.

Advice: All three doubles were on long flyballs that left his bat between 102 and 103 mph and traveled from 349 to 373 feet. Bleday is now tied for third in the majors with 22 doubles. Some of his other stats are a perfect match for his 2023 totals; he currently has 10 homers and 27 RBI in 302 plate appearances after finishing with 10 homers and 27 RBI in 303 plate appearances last year. However, since he’s picked it up when it comes to singles and doubles, he’s currently sporting an .820 OPS that’s far better than last year’s. .665 mark. Rotoworld Tuesday, 9:56 pm
