• Mediocre in victory
Berrios (6-5) picked up the win Sunday against Cleveland, allowing four earned runs on eight hits and zero walks while striking out one batter over six innings.

Advice: Berrios was one out away from recording his 12th quality start of the season, but Daniel Schneemann launched a two-run shot with two outs in the sixth, the only extra-base hit yielded by Berrios. Over his past 10 starts, the 30-year-old has allowed a home run in nine of them, recording a 4.32 ERA and a 1.18 WHIP across 60.1 innings in that span. Berrios will look to bounce back in his next start, currently scheduled for next weekend in Cleveland. Rotowire.com 35 minutes ago

  • Berrios allows four in win Sunday
Jose Berrios allowed four runs in six innings and got the win in the Blue Jays’ 7-4 victory over the Guardians on Sunday.

Advice: Berrios gave up eight hits, walked none and struck out one. The win was his sixth of the season. Berrios won four out of seven starts in April, but has now won only two of his last eight starts. His ERA is 3.13 on the year, but his xFIP is 4.18. Berrios’ saving grace this year has been his 86 percent left on base percentage. Even on a day where he only left 65 percent of runners on base, he still was a little lucky. In the fifth inning, the Guardians loaded the bases with no outs, but Cleveland only scored two runs on an RBI single by Steven Kwan and a double play by Tyler Freeman. The 30-year-old right-hander is set to face the Guardians on the road next week.

  • Earns sixth win
Kirby (6-5) allowed an unearned run on three hits and two walks while striking out six over six innings to earn the win Saturday over the Rangers.

Advice: This was Kirby's first time issuing multiple walks since his season debut, as he continues to have some of the best control in the majors. The right-hander has allowed two or fewer runs in each of his last four starts after a pair of five-run outings in mid-May. He's now at a 3.54 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 84:9 K:BB over 86.1 innings through 15 starts this year. Kirby is projected to make his next start at Miami in a highly favorable matchup. • George Kirby allows just unearned run in win
George Kirby didn’t allow an earned run while working six innings to get a win over the Rangers on Saturday.

Advice: He did allow an unearned run, and it’s worth pointing out he was the one who made the error. Kirby walked two, which makes this the first game since March 29 that the right-hander has walked more than one hitter in a game. The right-hander made up for it by striking out six in another strong start for the 26-year-old. Kirby has now allowed just four runs in his last four starts, and his ERA has lowered to 3.54, and his career ERA against Texas is a sparkling 1.08. He’ll get a chance to low it again versus Miami next week. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:05 pm

  • Turns in quality start
Stone allowed three runs on four hits and two walks while striking out three over seven innings in a no-decision versus the Royals on Friday.

Advice: Stone's three-start winning streak was snapped, but he picked up his first quality start over three outings in June. The right-hander has been steady this year -- this was just the fourth time in 13 starts he's given up three or more runs. He's now at a 3.01 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 56:23 K:BB over 74.2 innings. Stone is projected to make his next start at Colorado. Rotowire.com Friday, 9:44 pm

  • Gavin Stone surrenders three over seven vs. KC
Gavin Stone didn’t factor into the decision Saturday against the Royals after allowing three runs over seven innings with three strikeouts.

Advice: Stone allowed four hits and walked two while throwing 61-of-94 pitches in the strike zone. The 25-year-old allowed all three runs on a long roundtripper by Salvador Perez. Minus that gaffe, it was another solid start for Stone against a pretty tough Kansas City lineup. He’s currently scheduled to face the Rockies on Thursday in Colorado. Rotoworld Friday, 9:19 pm

  • Tarik Skubal gives up four runs in loss to Astros
Tarik Skubal struggled in Friday night’s loss to the Astros, giving up four runs on six hits over his 6 1/3 innings of work.

Advice: Skubal recorded only two strikeouts in the ballgame while allowing one base on balls. He kept the Astros’ offense completely off the board and was engaged in a scoreless pitcher’s duel heading to the sixth inning. They broke through there though, as Jose Altuve doubled, Alex Bregman smacked an RBI triple, Yordan Alvarez followed with a sacrifice fly and Mauricio Dubon tacked on a two-run homer. Skubal got 13 swings and misses on just 84 pitches on the night, posting a CSW of 24 percent. Now 8-2 on the season, he’ll carry a pristine 2.20 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and a 98/16 K/BB ratio (86 innings) into Wednesday’s matchup against the Braves in Atlanta. Rotoworld Friday, 8:09 pm

  • Fades late in loss
Skubal (8-2) took the loss Friday in Houston, allowing four runs on six hits and one walk over 6.1 innings. He struck out two.

Advice: Skubal failed to produce a quality start for just the fourth time in 14 outings this season. After completing five scoreless innings, the Tigers lefty allowed all four of his runs in the sixth, capped by a Mauricio Dubon two-run homer. In 86 innings this year, Skubal sports a 2.20 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and 98:16 K:BB. The 27-year-old is currently scheduled to make his next start against Atlanta on the road. • Sharp in third straight win
Irvin (5-5) picked up the win Wednesday, allowing one run on six hits and a walk over six innings in a 7-5 victory over the Tigers. He struck out five.

Advice: The right-hander continues his breakout campaign, winning his third straight trip to the mound while delivering his fifth consecutive quality start. Irvin boasts a 3.00 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 69:15 K:BB through 81 innings on the season, and he'll look to keep rolling in his next outing, which lines up to come at home early next week against the Diamondbacks.
