    • Daulton Varsho (back) could come off bench Monday
Daulton Varsho, who missed Sunday’s game with back tightness, is likely to be available off the bench Monday.

Advice: Varsho worked out on the field today, but the Blue Jays decided to hold him out initially, at least. They have Davis Schneider in left and Kevin Kiermaier in center tonight. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:23 pm

    • Remains out of lineup
Varsho (back) is out of the lineup for Monday's game in Boston.

Advice: Varsho tweaked his back on a swing in Saturday's 6-3 loss to the Guardians and has now been out of the lineup for two straight contests. He's available off the bench, per Kaitlyn McGrath of The Athletic, seemingly giving him a good chance to return to the lineup Tuesday. Kevin Kiermaier will handle center field Monday while Varsho takes a seat. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:27 pm

    • Unlikely to be activated this week
Kremer (triceps) may need to make another rehab start this week before being reinstated from the 15-day injured list, Matt Weyrich of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Advice: Kremer logged 3.2 innings in his first rehab start June 16 while building up to 59 pitches. He made his second start Saturday with Norfolk but needed 39 pitches to record two outs and was charged with five earned runs on five hits and one walk. Baltimore can go with a five-man rotation this week even without Kremer, and if he is able to go deeper into his third rehab start, he could return from the IL as early as July 2 in Seattle. • Punches out 10 at Coors Field
Irvin didn't factor into the decision Sunday against the Rockies, allowing one run on three hits and one walk with 10 strikeouts across six innings.

Advice: Irvin tied his career high in strikeouts Sunday, matching his K total from a May 28 start against Atlanta. The lone run against the 27-year-old came on a solo home run by Michael Toglia in the second inning -- the game's lone run until the Nationals' two-run ninth inning. Irvin has logged a quality start in five of his last six starts and holds a 2.06 ERA with 37 strikeouts across 35.0 innings during that stretch. He's expected to make his next start against the Rays in Tampa Bay. Rotowire.com Sunday, 10:41 pm

    • Resumes throwing off flat ground
Harrison is progressing in his recovery from a right ankle sprain and had been playing catch off flat ground from up to 90 feet as of Saturday, MLB.com reports.

Advice: While the fact that Harrison hasn't been shut down from activity one week after landing on the injured list is an encouraging sign, the Giants still aren't counting on the 22-year-old lefty to rejoin the rotation until July. With all of Harrison, Blake Snell (groin) and Keaton Winn (elbow) going on the IL within the past three weeks, the Giants are left with Logan Webb and Jordan Hicks as the only healthy members of their season-opening rotation. • Knocks four hits
Bregman went 4-for-4 with two doubles, two runs scored and a walk in Sunday's win over Baltimore.

Advice: Bregman turned in a perfect day at the plate, starting with a double and a run scored during Houston's four-run first inning. It was his third multi-hit performance over his last four games. He's gone 17 straight games without a home run, but he's hitting .354 (23-for-65) during that span. Bregman's season slash line is up to .257/.318/.414 with 33 runs scored and 26 extra-base hits through 74 games. Rotowire.com Sunday, 6:21 pm

    • Jake Irvin lights out against Rockies
Jake Irvin allowed one run on three hits in six innings in a no-decision against the Rockies on Sunday.

Advice: Irvin also struck out 10 and walked just one. His only blemish was a solo home run to Michael Toglia in the second inning. It was a tremendous effort for the 27-year-old in Coors Field, posting a 39 percent whiff rate and 32 percent CSW. Irvin has let his curveball lead of late, which is a great decision since he commands the pitch well and he can also miss bats with it. He likely will remain a high-end streamer rather than a must-roster player, but that can still be valuable with offense down around the league. He should be started next week against the Rays. • Bregman has four hits, two 2Bs in win
Alex Bregman went 4-for-4 with a walk and two runs scored in an 8-1 win over the Orioles on Sunday.

Advice: Bregman had two doubles and two singles on the day but also came away with zero RBI. Still, the consistent contact is nice to see, and the veteran is now 28-for-77 in 19 games in June for a .364 batting average. That’ll most certainly play considering he’s on pace for yet another 20-plus home run season. Rotoworld Sunday, 2:51 pm

    • Dean Kremer likely to need another rehab start
Orioles’ manager Brandon Hyde admitted Sunday that Dean Kremer (triceps) will likely require another minor league rehab start after he failed to get past the first inning in Saturday’s outing at Triple-A Norfolk.

Advice: The 28-year-old right-hander got just two outs in Saturday’s start, giving up five runs on five hits and a walk over his 2/3 of an inning. Kremer struck out one batter in the ballgame and surrendered a pair of home runs to Kody Clemens and Weston Wilson. Kremer threw just 39 pitches in the ballgame, 25 of them for strikes. Out of necessity, the Orioles could still decide to bring him back next week, but the most likely scenario is that he winds up making another start at the Triple-A level. Rotoworld Sunday, 2:41 pm
