Schneider is absent from the lineup for Friday's game against the Yankees.

Advice: Spencer Horwitz will handle second base and Addison Barger will be in left field for the Blue Jays. Schneider is hitting just .171/.229/.316 in June. Rotowire.com Today, 12:14 pm

    • Bryce Harper goes on IL with mild hamstring strain
Phillies placed 1B Bryce Harper on the 10-day IL with a left hamstring strain.

Advice: The Phillies are calling it a low-grade strain, so Harper could be ready to go as soon as his 10 days are up. Kody Clemens will fill in at first base against righties. The Phillies will probably shift Alec Bohm to first and play Edmundo Sosa at third versus lefties. Rotoworld Today, 11:54 am

    • Headed to IL with low-grade strain
The Phillies placed Harper on the 10-day injured list Friday with a left hamstring strain.

Advice: Harper suffered the injury on the final play of Thursday's loss to the Marlins while running out a grounder. The good news is it's considered a low-grade strain and Harper might return as soon as July 9, per Matt Gelb of The Athletic. The Phillies could also play things cautiously and hold him out until after the All-Star break. While Harper is sidelined, Philadelphia will likely shift Alec Bohm over to first base and put Edmundo Sosa at third. Rotowire.com Today, 11:26 am

    • Bryce Harper gets good news, still IL bound
Bryce Harper was diagnosed with a low-grade hamstring strain but will go on the 10-day injured list, according to The Athletic’s Matt Gelb.

Advice: The Phillies think there’s a chance Harper could be ready when his 10 days are up. They’ll likely activate Kody Clemens in Harper’s place and use him at first base against righties until Harper returns. Rotoworld Today, 11:23 am

    • Season-high six walks in win
Abbott (7-6) picked up the win over the Cardinals on Thursday, allowing two runs on two hits and six walks over five innings while striking out two.

Advice: The only runs charged to Abbott on the night came on a two-run homer from Nolan Arenado in the bottom of the third, as the lefty managed to pitch his way out of trouble the rest of the time despite issuing a season-high six free passes. Abbott has now won four of his last five starts, though he finishes the month of June with 15 walks, compared to just six in May. On the positive side, he's also gone at least five innings in 11 consecutive starts and hasn't given up more than three runs in five straight. Rotowire.com Today, 4:05 am
    • Records quality start Thursday
Imanaga allowed three runs on five hits across six innings but did not factor into the decision in Thursday's 5-3, 10-inning win over the Giants. He walked two and struck out three.

Advice: This was a nice bounceback effort for Imanaga, who allowed 10 runs in his last outing against the surging Mets. The righty had a sparkling 1.89 ERA before that implosion, but he's still sitting with a solid 3.07 mark across his first 15 starts at the MLB level. While it was unlikely that Imanaga would continue his early season dominance, he should still be a strong fantasy option moving forward. He's tentatively lined up to start again Wednesday against a challenging Philadelphia lineup. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:48 pm
    • Abbott allows two runs in win Thursday
Andrew Abbott allowed two runs in five innings and got the win in the Reds’ 11-4 victory over the Cardinals on Thursday.

Advice: Abbott gave up two hits, walked six and struck out two. Abbott wasn’t sharp as the six walks were a season-high, but the Reds scored 10 runs while he was in the game and he was able to grind out five innings to earn his seventh win of the season. Abbott has won four of his last five starts and has a 3.41 ERA on the year. The 25-year-old left-hander is set to face the Yankees on the road next week.

    • Doubles, triples in win
Suzuki went 2-for-5 with a double, a triple and an RBI in Thursday's 5-3, 10-inning win over the Giants.

Advice: Suzuki didn't rack up the counting stats, but he still had a solid effort in the win. He tallied his 11th double and second triple of the season, and he's now batting a solid .266 with a .796 OPS. Suzuki's game doesn't jump off the page, though he's been a steady contributor since he came over from Japan in 2022. The outfielder slashed .262/.336/.433 as a rookie, then followed that up with a .285/.357/.485 line last season. Suzuki is on pace for similar figures once again this year. • Dealing with hamstring issue
Harper felt hamstring tightness while running to first base in the ninth inning of Thursday's game against the Marlins, Alex Coffey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Advice: Harper sustained the injury on a groundout to end the game. Manager Rob Thompson said no more details were known about the issue but that there would be more information Friday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:33 pm
