    • Belts first career slam
Sheets went 3-for-4 with a grand slam in Saturday's 6-1 win over the Red Sox.

Advice: The 28-year-old slugger took Brayan Bello deep in the fifth inning, breaking a 1-1 tie and giving Sheets the first grand slam of his career. He's gone yard in back-to-back games and has four of his seven homers this season in the last 11 contests, a stretch in which Sheets is batting .282 (11-for-39) with 10 RBI. • Swats first homer of 2024
Dalbec went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run in Saturday's 6-1 loss to the White Sox.

Advice: Getting the start in right field and batting seventh, the 28-year-old took Nick Nastrini deep in the fifth inning for Boston's only offense, and Dalbec's first long ball in the majors this season. He's flashed plenty of power in the minors -- in his last 140 games for Triple-A Worcester, he's slugged 41 homers -- but that hasn't yet translated to the game's highest level with any consistency. He'll lose playing time, and likely his spot on the 26-man roster, when players like Tyler O'Neill (knee), Wilyer Abreu (ankle) and Masataka Yoshida (thumb) are back in action, as Dalbec's .159/.243/.238 slash line in 28 games for the Red Sox makes a poor case to keep him around. • Dalbec blasts first home run of 2024 Saturday
Bobby Dalbec went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run against the White Sox on Saturday.

Advice: Dalbec’s home run was his first since last September. He hit 25 home runs in 133 games in 2021, but has had a rough go of it ever since while splitting time between MLB and Triple-A. Last year, Dalbec played first base, second base, third base and shortstop for Boston. He was in right field for the Red Sox on Saturday afternoon with Tyler O’Neill out. Dalbec’s hitting .159 in 28 games this year, though he’s reached base safely in eight of his last nine starts. The 28-year-old former prospect occasionally flashes his immense talent, but isn’t consistent enough to be a legitimate asset in fantasy. Rotoworld Today, 5:38 pm

    • Finally ends homer drought
Tellez went 2-for-4 with a home run, two runs scored and three RBI in Saturday's 4-0 win over the Twins.

Advice: The 29-year-old slugger took Simeon Woods Richardson deep in the seventh inning to produce the game's first offense, then was at the heart of a three-run rally in the eighth. Tellez hadn't homered since March 31, and Saturday's blast snapped a 48-game power drought in which he slashed just .197/.262/.235 with five doubles. He is showing signs of life at the plate, however, batting .391 (9-for-23) over his last seven games with seven of his 15 RBI on the season. Rotowire.com Today, 5:33 pm

    • DeJong blasts 11th home run in win Saturday
Pau DeJong went 2-for-4 with a solo home run against the Red Sox on Saturday.

Advice: DeJong’s home run was his 11th of the year. He hit a solo home run off Chase Anderson in the seventh inning. DeJong has turned back the clock this season as he’s on pace to threaten his career-high of 30 home runs that came in 2019. His 110 wRC+ is his best since his debut season in 2017. DeJong’s power resurgence gives him solid value in deeper formats. Rotoworld Today, 5:20 pm

    • Sheets has three hits, grand slam Saturday
Gavin Sheets went 3-for-4 with a grand slam against the Red Sox on Saturday.

Advice: Sheets’ home run was his seventh of the year and the grand slam has him up to 27 RBI. It’s his second consecutive game with a home run and third of the month of June already. Sheets is hitting .246 with a .788 OPS on the season. Rotoworld Today, 5:15 pm

    • Running bases
Thomas (hamstring) ran the bases with cleats Saturday, Jesse Friedman of GoPHNX.com reports.

Advice: Thomas endured a setback during the recovery from a left hamstring strain in late May, and after being shut down from running, he resumed running the bases Saturday. He's expected to begin a rehab assignment next week, but manager Torey Lovullo said Wednesday that Thomas won't need many games before being activated considering how many at-bats he's taken while on the injured list. • Akil Baddoo dealing with soreness in knee
Akil Baddoo reported feeling soreness in his knee following a collision with Colt Keith during Saturday’s loss to the Brewers.

Advice: Keith seemed to take the brunt of the collision in shallow right field — and was removed from the game — but it sounds like Baddoo got a bit banged up as well. He should be considered day-to-day. Rotoworld Today, 5:00 pm

    • Carpenter hits second home run of the season
Matt Carpenter went 1-for-3 with a walk, two runs scored and a solo home run against the Rockies on Saturday.

Advice: Carpenter’s home run was his second of the season. He brought the Cardinals to within one run with a solo blast in the seventh inning. The 38-year-old is hitting .200 with a .611 OPS on the year. Rotoworld Today, 4:59 pm
