    • Cardinals-Tigers rained out Monday
Maeda and the Tigers won't play Monday against the Cardinals after the game was postponed due to inclement weather in Detroit.

Advice: The game will be made up as part of a traditional doubleheader Tuesday. Maeda will presumably just be pushed back a day in the Tigers' pitching schedule to start one of the two games of the twin bill. Rotowire.com 34 minutes ago

    • Cardinals-Tigers game Monday postponed
Monday’s scheduled game between the Tigers and Cardinals has been postponed.

Advice: The game will be made up Tuesday with a doubleheader. Kenta Maeda and Steven Matz were the scheduled pitchers for Monday, and they will all but assuredly pitch Tuesday instead. Rotoworld 35 minutes ago

    • Goes deep in loss
Cronenworth went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer and a double in Sunday's loss to the Phillies.

Advice: Cronenworth doubled his first time up and then would briefly put the Padres in front with a two-run shot to right off Taijuan Walker in the third. The 30-year-old has found his bat lately with seven hits and five RBI over his last five games. For the year, he's now slashing .264/.344/.453 with four homers, 19 RBI, 14 runs and a 12:19 BB:K in 122 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 3:35 am

    • Homers as pinch hitter
Campusano went 1-for-2 with a three-run homer in Sunday's 8-6 loss to the Phillies.

Advice: Campusano entered the game as a pinch-hitter for Kyle Higashioka in the seventh and instantly made an impact, swatting a three-run shot to left center off Taijuan Walker to bring the Padres within one run. It was only his second home run of the year, but the 25-year-old is enjoying a productive first month of the season, slashing .290/.320/.430 with nine extra-base hits, 17 RBI, 13 runs and a 4:11 BB:K in 97 plate appearances as the Padres primary backstop. • Little run support Sunday
Gilbert did not factor into the decision in Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Diamondbacks. He allowed two runs on four hits and a walk while striking out nine in 6.1 innings.

Advice: Gilbert allowed an early solo home run to Christian Walker in the second. He was then able to keep the Diamondbacks off the scoreboard until Eugenio Suarez doubled home another run in the seventh to even things up at 2-2, ultimately knocking Gilbert from the game and spoiling his chance at a win. Still, it was another excellent outing from the 27-year-old. His nine strikeouts were a season-high and he's managed to go at least six innings and all but one start so far. Gilbert now owns a sparkling 2.03 ERA, 0.80 WHIP and 44:9 K:BB in 40 innings and lines up to face the Astros on the road next weekend. Rotowire.com Today, 2:43 am

    • Three RBI across weekend series
Diaz went 1-for-4 with a double and two RBI on Sunday against the Rockies.

Advice: The Astros scored 20 runs combined across their two-game series against Colorado, and Diaz drove in three of those runs. His damage Sunday came late in the contest, as he drove in a pair of runners with a double in the eighth inning. Diaz now has at least one hit in five of his last seven games, and he's collected four extra-base hits (no home runs) in that span. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:28 pm

    • Steals two more bags
Young went 3-for-5 with a double, three RBI, two runs scored and two stolen bases during Sunday's 12-9 victory over the Marlins.

Advice: Young's three hits were a season high and represented his third consecutive multi-hit effort while he also stole two bags for the second-consecutive game. The young center fielder is up to 10 steals on the season, good for fifth in all of baseball despite accumulating only 60 at-bats and one walk. His average now stands at .375 with four doubles, seven RBI and 14 runs scored. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:27 pm

    • Remains red-hot Sunday
Rizzo went 4-for-4 with a two-run home run, two doubles, a walk and three runs scored in Sunday's 15-5 win over the Brewers.

Advice: Rizzo was once again spectacular Sunday, ripping a double in his first at-bat, before later adding another double, a single and a two-run homer later in the contest. The long ball was his fifth of the season, and he has now gone deep in back-to-back games and four times in his last six contests. Rizzo is batting .277 with five home runs, 15 RBI and 15 runs scored over 112 at-bats in 29 games in 2024. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:15 pm

    • Luis Campusano belts three-run homer in loss
Luis Campusano went 1-for-2 and belted a three-run homer as the Padres fell to the Phillies on Sunday afternoon in San Diego.

Advice: Campusano entered the game as a pinch-hitter for Kyle Higashioka in the seventh inning and responded by crushing a 397-foot (106.2 mph EV) three-run blast off of Taijuan Walker that pulled the Padres to within a run at 7-6. That would be as close as they would get. The 25-year-old backstop is now hitting .290/.320/.430 with a pair of homers and 17 RBI on the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:22 pm
