The Rockies are expected to place Jones (back) on the 10-day injured list Tuesday, Luke Zahlmann of The Denver Gazette reports.

Advice: Zahlmann notes that outfield prospect Jordan Beck is on track to receive a call-up from Triple-A Albuquerque, and given that he suffered a setback with his lingering back injury in Sunday's 8-2 loss to the Astros, Jones is an obvious candidate to come off the 26-man active roster in a corresponding move. Jones has been removed from games twice within the past week due to back stiffness, so it makes sense for the Rockies to get out in front of the issue and put him on the shelf for at least the next week and a half so he can rest up and recover. After a breakout 20-20 campaign with the Rockies in 2023, Jones has struggled mightily over the first month of the 2024 season, slashing just .170/.243/.277 while contributing one home run and two stolen bases over 103 plate appearances. • Churns out another multi-hit game
Bohm went 3-for-5 with two doubles and a run scored Sunday in the Phillies' 8-6 win over the Padres.

Advice: Recently elevated into the cleanup spot, Bohm has stayed on a heater at the plate to give the Phillies little reason to think about moving him down in the order. He's now turned in multi-hit efforts in eight of his last 10 games, batting .548 during that stretch to lift his season-long average up to .365, trailing only Mookie Betts (.387) and Will Smith (.367) for tops among qualified hitters. • Victim of home run ball in loss
King (2-3) took the loss Sunday against the Phillies, allowing six runs on six hits and three walks while striking out six over 5.1 innings.

Advice: King struggled to keep the ball in the yard in this one. Bryson Stott got to him for a pair of two-run homers and J.T. Realmuto swatted one out against him in the sixth. His lack of command continues to haunt him, as he's now allowed 10 home runs in seven starts and has walked multiple batters in all but one appearance. The 29-year-old sports a 5.00 ERA, 1.47 WHIP and 40:21 K:BB in 36 innings and will line up for a road start against the Diamondbacks his next time out. Rotowire.com Today, 3:40 am

    • Early exit Sunday
Jones was forced to exit Sunday's game against the Rockies in the seventh inning due to back stiffness, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Jones has battled back stiffness since Tuesday and was forced to miss two games with the issue. After managing to play the entirety of Saturday's contest, Jones was back in the starting lineup Sunday but was forced to exit early after going 1-for-2 with a double and a run scored. The team has not yet decided whether Jones will require a stint on the injured list, but manager Bud Black did say that he is concerned that the issue is recurring. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:50 pm

    • Nolan Jones leaves game with stiff back on Sunday
Nolan Jones was removed from Sunday’s game against the Astros due to stiffness in his back.

Advice: The 25-year-old outfielder has been battling the back issue for a while now and is very frustrated with his latest flareup on Sunday. Rockies’ skipper Bud Black told reporters on Sunday that they’ll determine over the next couple of days whether or not he’ll require a trip to the injured list. Fantasy managers who are relying on Jones for next week should be sure to have an alternative option in place. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:25 pm

    • Byron Buxton picks up first stolen base of 2024
Byron Buxton went 1-for-4 with three runs scored and picked up his first stolen base of the 2024 campaign as the Twins walloped the Angels on Sunday afternoon in Los Angeles.

Advice: Buxton reached on a fielder’s choice in the fourth inning and came around to score the first run of the game on an RBI single by Jose Miranda. The 30-year-old outfielder also drew a walk in the seventh inning and scored on a ground out by Carlos Santana. He finished his day with a single in the eighth inning, then swiped second base and scored on an RBI double by Miranda. Buxton has remained relatively healthy so far this season, but is hitting an underwhelming .244/.283/.384 with one homer, 11 RBI and one stolen base. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:14 pm

    • Michael King hit hard in loss to Phillies Sunday
Michael King was hit hard in a losing effort against the Phillies on Sunday afternoon, surrendering six runs on six hits across 5 1/3 innings.

Advice: On the plus side for fantasy managers, he still did manage to punch out six batters on the afternoon while issuing three free passes. His troubles in this one stemmed from his inability to keep the ball in the yard, as Bryson Stott crushed a pair of two-run homers off of him and J.T. Realmuto added one of his own. King got 10 swings and misses on 95 pitches on the night, posting a CSW of 31 percent. He’ll look to get back on track as he carries a 5.00 ERA, 1.47 WHIP and a 40/21 K/BB ratio (36 innings) into Saturday’s showdown against the Diamondbacks in Arizona. • Andrew Abbott can’t overcome poor first in defeat
Andrew Abbott gave up four runs over five innings Sunday in a loss to the Rangers.

Advice: All of the runs scored in the first. Two came on an inside-the-park homer, but it was a legit inside-the-park homer and not one the defense could have done much about. The other two were produced by a regular old homer from Adolis García. Abbott went on to strike out seven and walk none, so this was a pretty solid day for him. He deserves better than a 1-3 record for his 3.27 ERA. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:42 pm
    • Anthony Volpe homers, reaches four times
Anthony Volpe went 2-for-4 with a three-run homer and two walks Sunday against the Brewers.

Advice: A much-improved game for Volpe, who came into the day 7-for-47 with no homers and a 16/1 K/BB ratio in his previous 11 games. The Yankees haven’t wavered on using him as a leadoff man, even though he’s mostly struggled since moving up two weeks into the season. It’s definitely best for his fantasy value if they keep him there. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:13 pm
