    • John Means, Kyle Bradish coming off IL this week
Orioles manager Brandon Hyde told reporters that both John Means (elbow) and Kyle Bradish will come off the injured list this week.

Advice: The Orioles rotation is about to finally be at full strength. Means pitched well Sunday for Triple-A Norfolk on Sunday with the left-hander going seven scoreless innings that saw him allow just one hit. Bradish is believed to be the starter for Thursday’s game, and Means will get the chance to pitch over the weekend. Bradish offers a little more fantasy upside, but Means is worthy of roster consideration playing behind the loaded Baltimore offense. Rotoworld 9 minutes ago

    • Aiming to return when eligible
Senga (shoulder) faced hitters Monday and said afterward that he thinks he'll return around when he's first eligible to be activated on May 27, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Working his way back from a shoulder capsule strain, Senga also added that he will need to face hitters two more times before beginning a rehab assignment. That should put him on track for his first rehab start in early May, with a return before the end of the month possible if all goes according to plan. Rotowire.com 21 minutes ago

    • Could be emerging from slump
Riley posted an exit velocity over 100 mph on three different balls Saturday but failed to get a hit on any of them, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

Advice: The third baseman did collect two hits Sunday, including a walk-off single in the 10th inning, but for the most part Riley hasn't been getting results of late -- he hasn't homered in 18 straight games, slashing .222/.317/.319 over that stretch with five doubles, a triple and six RBI. Given the way he's swinging the bat, however, it seems only a matter of time before the 27-year-old heats up. Advanced metrics back up the idea that Riley's lack of production is mainly due to bad luck -- he sits in the 90th percentile in barrel rate on the season, right in line with his 2023 (89th percentile) and 2022 (96th percentile) campaigns. • Stolen base in return to lineup
Cruz went 1-for-4 with a stolen base Sunday against the Giants.

Advice: Cruz was held out of Saturday's lineup after tweaking his ankle in the series opener against the Giants. He notably moved up the order to hit third in his return Sunday and seemed to put the injury issue behind him as he swiped his third base of the season. Cruz is off to a slow start to the campaign, but he's shown some improvement of late by going 8-for-22 with a 25 percent strikeout rate across his last seven games. • John Means looks sharp in latest rehab start
John Means (elbow) looked sharp in his final minor league rehab start at Triple-A Norfolk on Sunday, allowing just one hit over seven scoreless innings.

Advice: The left-hander piled up eight strikeouts on the day and issued just one base on balls. Means fired 61 of his 95 pitches for strikes in the contest. While the Orioles have yet to officially announce any changes to their rotation, it’s anticipated that Means will replace Albert Suarez to start against the Reds in Cincinnati on Friday. It’s a difficult first start back to trust for fantasy managers, but he’s worthy of a stash in deeper mixed leagues where he may still be available. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:52 pm

    • Connects for third homer
Pena went 1-for-3 with a walk, a solo home run and two runs scored Sunday against the Rockies.

Advice: Pena had a productive weekend series in Mexico City, racking up a total of four runs scored in a pair of games. He also chipped in his third home run of the campaign Sunday, his first long ball since April 3. Pena has remained a subpar power contributor, though he also has four stolen bases and is hitting .321 across 115 plate appearances early this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:11 pm

    • Stumbles again Sunday
Detmers (3-2) yielded five runs on nine hits over five innings Sunday, striking out three and taking a loss against the Twins.

Advice: Detmers fired three perfect innings before the Twins broke the scoreless tie in the fourth inning. He ran into more trouble in the fifth, coughing up four runs on five hits. After an incredible start to his season in which he produced a 30:7 K:BB and 1.19 ERA through four starts, Detmers has taken two straight losses, yielding nine runs in 12 innings. His ERA climbed to 3.12, but he still owns a strong 37:10 K:BB through 34.2 frames. Detmers is projected for a road start in Cleveland next weekend. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:00 pm
    • Delivers game-winning run
Marte went 1-for-4 with a double and an RBI in Sunday's 3-2 win over Seattle.

Advice: Marte's two-out double in the eighth plated Kevin Newman with the winning run. It was the second consecutive game that Marte has hit out of the three-hole, as manager Torey Lovullo made recent changes to accommodate for Corbin Carroll's slow start. Marte had been the team's primary leadoff hitter. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:43 pm

    • Reid Detmers gives up five runs in loss to Twins
Reid Detmers struggled in Sunday afternoon’s loss to the Twins, giving up five runs on nine hits over his five frames.

Advice: The 24-year-old hurler struck out three batters on the afternoon and didn’t walk a batter. He kept the Twins off the board through the first three innings, but they broke through in the fourth on an RBI single by Jose Miranda. They tacked on an additional four runs in the fifth inning — keyed by a two-run single off the bat of Austin Martin. Detmers got nine swings and misses on 87 pitches on the night, registering a CSW of 33 percent. He’ll look to bounce back as he brings a 3.12 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and a 37/10 K/BB ratio (34 2/3 innings) into Saturday’s tilt against the Guardians in Cleveland. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:02 pm
