    • Wyatt Langford exits game with leg injury Saturday
Wyatt Langford was removed from Saturday night’s battle against the Royals after suffering a leg injury while running to first base.

Advice: The 22-year-old phenom hit a slow tapper out in front of home plate and was much slower than usual getting to first base. The exit could have been precautionary, with the Rangers holding a big early lead in the game, but we’ll know more when they provide an update on Langford’s status. Stay tuned. • Departs with hamstring tightness
Langford exited Saturday's game against the Royals in the fifth inning due to right hamstring tightness, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Advice: Langford slowed up noticeably while trying to beat out a dribbler in front of the plate in the top of the fifth inning and was removed for defense prior to the bottom of the frame. The rookie figures to be sent for an MRI to determine the extent of the injury. Langford was hitless in three plate appearances Saturday before being lifted. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:28 pm
    • Receiving Friday off
Langford is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Royals.

Advice: Langford started the previous 15 games and will receive a day to reset after he posted a .542 OPS during that stretch. Travis Jankowski will bat eighth as the designated hitter Friday for Texas. Rotowire.com Friday, 2:29 pm
    • Kyle Tucker slugs eighth homer in loss to Guardians
Kyle Tucker went 1-for-4 with a solo homer on Wednesday against the Guardians.

Advice: Trailing by one run, Tucker led off the seventh inning with the game-tying homer off of Triston McKenzie. The 27-year-old star has gone deep in three of his last four games, giving him eight homers while slashing .298/.407/.570 with 21 runs scored, 21 RBI, and five steals across 136 plate appearances. • Gets Wednesday off
Kelenic is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mariners.

Advice: The lefty-hitting Kelenic typically sits when Atlanta faces off against left-handed starting pitchers, but the young outfielder will cede his spot in the lineup to Adam Duvall while right-hander Emerson Hancock takes the hill for Seattle. Atlanta may just have wanted to open up playing time for Duvall, who hadn't started since last Friday while the club had faced off against right-handers in each of the previous four games. • Ramping up baseball work
White Sox manager Pedro Grifol said Tuesday that Robert (hip) is taking batting practice and running at 80 percent, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Advice: The 26-year-old is about halfway through the short end of his initial recovery timeline of 6-to-8 weeks, and he appears to be a bit ahead of schedule. Robert could be ready to rejoin the White Sox in mid-May, but the organization is likely to remain cautious as he ramps up his baseball activities over the next couple weeks. • Homers in second straight
Tucker went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run Sunday against the Rockies.

Advice: Tucker took advantage of the offensive environment in Mexico City, homering in each of Houston's two contests there. He now has seven home runs on the season and has at least one hit in each of his last five starts. It comes as no surprise that Tucker has remained an excellent five-category contributor, highlighted by 39 combined RBI and runs scored as well as five stolen bases across 28 contests. • Wyatt Langford’s first homer is inside-the-parker
Wyatt Langford made his first career homer an inside-the-parker Sunday in the Rangers’ 4-3 win over the Reds.

Advice: Langford’s shot to right-center would have been a traditional homer in six ballparks. In Texas, it bounced off a fortunately angled wall and shot far into right field, allowing Langford to score without a play. Langford is batting .248/.325/.327 with 11 RBI through 27 games. It’s not quite what people expected after his huge spring, but he also hasn’t seemed overmatched in the least. He’ll continue improving from here. Rotoworld Sunday, 3:42 pm
    • Secures first major-league homer
Langford went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 4-3 win over the Reds.

Advice: Langford entered Sunday homerless through his first 26 major-league contests, but that came to an end in quite the unique fashion. With one on and two out in the top of the first, the outfielder launched a high flyball to right center field, which ricocheted off the wall and rolled away from right fielder Jake Fraley, allowing Langford to round the bases for an inside-the-park home run. Langford, who picked up his first RBI since April 18, is now batting .248 with 11 RBI, 13 runs and a stolen base over 101 at-bats in 27 games this season. Rotowire.com Sunday, 2:33 pm
