      Advice: Raleigh sent Houston starter Framber Valdez to the showers with a two-run blast in the sixth inning. The homer was a much-needed positive outcome for the backstop, as he entered the contest having gone 1-for-26 with 13 strikeouts over his previous eight games.       Cal Raleigh belted a two-run homer on Saturday, propelling the Mariners to a 5-0 victory over the Astros.

      Advice: Raleigh’s sixth-inning shot off Astros starter Framber Valdez provided more than enough run support for Mariners ace Logan Gilbert, who reeled off eight scoreless frames to open the contest.       Advice: The 22-year-old phenom hit a slow tapper out in front of home plate and was much slower than usual getting to first base.       Langford exited Saturday's game against the Royals in the fifth inning due to right hamstring tightness, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.

      Advice: Langford slowed up noticeably while trying to beat out a dribbler in front of the plate in the top of the fifth inning and was removed for defense prior to the bottom of the frame.       CJ Abrams went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base against the Blue Jays on Saturday.



      Advice: Abrams knocked a base hit in the third and stole second to get into scoring position, but was stranded on the bases. Down by four runs with the bases loaded, he sent a fly ball to deep center field that fell just short of a grand slam. He settled for a sacrifice fly to bring home a run.       Twins’ manager Rocco Baldelli told reporters on Friday that Royce Lewis (quad) has been progressing nicely in his recovery and has increased baseball activities in recent days.

      Advice: He’s now entering the fifth week of his recovery from a severe right quad strain and is tracking towards meeting that initial eight-week estimate that he was given when he sustained the injury.
