    • Brock Holt was sent to see a concussion specialist in Pittsburgh.
Advice: Holt left a game last Friday due to dizziness and hasn't many any progress in recent days. It's unclear what the source of the issue was, but the Red Sox aren't going to take any chances.

    • Brock Holt remains out of the Red Sox starting lineup on Tuesday night against the Orioles.
Advice: Holt has been sick since last Friday and is also battling some neck discomfort, so he'll get another game off. The hope is that he'll be healthy by the weekend.

    • Brock Holt (illness) is out of the Red Sox starting lineup again on Monday versus the Orioles.
Advice: Holt has been dealing with nausea since Friday. Mike Napoli also came down sick over the weekend, so there may be something going around the Red Sox clubhouse.

    • Brock Holt (illness) remained out of the Red Sox' lineup Sunday.
Advice: There must be something going around the Red Sox' clubhouse, as both Holt and Mike Napoli have battled some dizziness as a result of an illness. Holt should be OK in a day or two.

    • Brock Holt was forced to leave Friday's game against the Blue Jays due to dizziness.
Advice: It's unclear what the cause of the dizziness was, but it was enough of an issue to force Holt out of the game which is a troubling sign. The versatile utilityman has been a tremendous addition to the Red Sox this season, slashing .281/.331/.381 with four homers, 29 RBI and 11 stolen bases. The team should provide an update on his status on Saturday.

    • Nolan Arenado will undergo an MRI on his chest Monday.
Advice: Arenado left Sunday's game with what the Rockies referred to as a chest contusion. The club doesn't expect the injury to be serious, but we won't know for sure until the MRI comes back. Consider Arenado day-to-day until further notice.

    • Nolan Arenado is day-to-day after leaving Sunday's game with a chest contusion.
Advice: With the Rockies home all week, Arenado needs to be kept active in fantasy leagues.

    • Nolan Arenado had an RBI double Friday against the Cardinals.
Advice: It was the only offense of the game for the Rockies and ended a 21-inning scoreless drought for the club. Arenado is batting a modest .216 (8-for-37) this month, but he collected four home runs and eight RBI along the way. Not surprisingly, the 23-year-old has produced significantly better at home than on the road this season, but he still figures to begin 2015 as a top-12 third baseman in mixed fantasy leagues.

    • Nolan Arenado hit his 17th home run of the year in Sunday's win over the Padres.
Advice: Arenado has been on a home run binge of late, with Sunday's counting as his third in his last four games. Even with an injury that cost him 37 games in the middle of the season, Arenado's 17 homers and 59 RBI are both more than he had during his rookie campaign. He's now hitting .294/.333/.505 on the year.

    • Jedd Gyorko is not in the Padres' lineup Tuesday.
Advice: It's just a day of rest. Cory Spangenberg is handling second base in Gyorko's place.

  • Wed, Sep 10
    • Jedd Gyorko finished 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Tuesday's 6-3 win against the Dodgers.
Advice: This was Gyorko's third multi-hit game in his past four games, and his second multi-RBI game during that stretch. This was his first homer since August 19. Mostly due to a rotten start, he's slashing .203/.263/.335 on the year.
