    • Norichika Aoki turned in his second straight four-hit game Tuesday, going 4-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored in a loss to the White Sox.
Advice: With eight hits in his last nine at-bats -- all but one of which have been singles -- Aoki has raised his batting average from .265 to .277 in the two-game span. Aoki also stole a base in Tuesday's game, his 16th stolen base of the season. Aided by his back-to-back outstanding performances, the 32-year-old is batting an impressive .396 in the month of September.

    • Nori Aoki went 4-for-4 with a double and a walk to lead the Royals to a 4-3 win over the White Sox on Monday.
Advice: Aoki doubled in a tie game in the bottom of the ninth, only to be replaced by a pinch-runner despite his plus speed. It ended up working out for the Royals, as the outrageously fast Terrence Gore scored from second on an infield single to win the game. Aoki is hitting .349 in 43 at-bats this month, though he's not doing much else to help fantasy owners at the moment.

    • Alex Gordon had a two-run single and stole a base in Tuesday's loss to the White Sox.
Advice: Gordon finished the night 1-for-4, but the hit was a big one, plating two in the third inning to give the Royals a short-lived lead. He walked and stole his 12th base of the season in the fifth inning, eventually coming around to score. Gordon now has 70 RBI and 82 runs scored to go with a .270/.352/.440 line.

    • Alexi Amarista finished 3-for-4 with a double, homer, two RBI and one run scored on Tuesday against the Phillies.
Advice: He came into this game batting .204 with no extra-base hits in September. So naturally Amarista finishes a triple short of the cycle in Petco, doing most of his damage against Phillies' starter A.J. Burnett. It'll be awhile before you see another performance like this out of Amarista. Even after the monster game, he's batting .242/.292/.313 on the season.

    • Alexi Amarista snapped an 0-for-17 stretch of futility by going 1-for-4 with a run scored Tuesday against the Dodgers.
Advice: Amarista's calling card is his defense, but even the leather wouldn't keep him in the lineup for most teams. The Padres have always viewed offense as optional, so he makes for a nice fit. Amarista is slashing .234/.285/.298 with three homers over 359 at-bats.
