    • Dealing with knee injury
Buxton's removal from Wednesday's game against the White Sox was due to right knee soreness, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Buxton tweaked his knee on a stolen base attempt in the second inning of Wednesday's contest. It's the same knee that he's had surgery on twice, with the most recent operation occurring last October. It's not clear at this point how big of a setback this could be, but the Twins could offer more detail on Buxton's condition after the game. Rotowire.com 36 minutes ago

    • Byron Buxton dealing with right knee soreness
Twins announced Byron Buxton is dealing with right knee soreness after he exited Wednesday’s game.

Advice: Phew. It appears Buxton avoided any significant injury after he attempted to steal second base and came off the field in pain. Buxton can be considered day-to-day for the time being. Rotoworld 41 minutes ago

    • Heads to bench Wednesday
Santander is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Yankees.

Advice: Santander will get a breather after he had started each of Baltimore's last 13 games while posting an .886 OPS. The 29-year-old isn't at any risk of losing hold of an everyday role, but he'll cede his spot in the lineup Wednesday to rookie Heston Kjerstad, who has played sparingly since being called up from Triple-A Norfolk on April 23. • Exits with apparent leg injury
Buxton was removed from Wednesday's game against the White Sox in the bottom of the second inning with an apparent leg injury, Bobby Nightengale of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

Advice: After reaching on a base hit in his first plate appearance of the day in the top of the second inning, Buxton attempted a steal of second base but came up lame and walked off the field gingerly after being tagged out. The Twins should have more clarity on the nature of Buxton's injury later Wednesday. Rotowire.com Today, 11:57 am

    • Byron Buxton exits game with apparent injury
Byron Buxton left Wednesday’s game with an injury after he attempted to steal second base.

Advice: Buxton went into second base standing up and appeared to favor his leg when he got caught stealing. He tapped his leg as he came off the field and a trainer met him at the foul line to check him out. We’ll have to wait on more information from the team to see if there’s anything significant. • Timely hit in Tuesday's win
Machado went 1-for-5 with a three-run double in Tuesday's 6-4 win over the Reds.

Advice: Machado stepped up to the plate in the fifth with the bases juiced and cleared them all with a double to center field. That was his first extra-base hit since April 14 and his first multi-RBI game since April 12. He's tallied a hit in four of his five games since being reinstated from the paternity list and is now slashing .250/.304/.388 with four homers, 16 RBI, 16 runs and a 9:29 BB:K in 125 plate appearances. • Walks off Dodgers
Walker went 3-for-5 with two home runs and three RBI in Tuesday's 4-3 extra-inning win over the Dodgers.

Advice: Walker bookended the Diamondbacks' scoring with a solo home run in the fourth inning then a two-run, walk-off job in the bottom of the 10th. He closed out the month on a roll, going 10-for-24 (.417) with four homers and nine RBI over the final seven games. The first baseman has a team-high seven home runs and is tied for the team lead with 22 RBI. Rotowire.com Today, 3:54 am
    • Creating a buzz: Walker hits walk-off HR in extras
Christian Walker homered twice including a two-run homer in the 10th inning to give the Diamondbacks a 4-3 win over the Dodgers on Tuesday.

Advice: In a game that was delayed due to a swarm of bees, Walker ended up creating the buzz. Sorry. The first baseman homered in the fourth inning off Landon Knack, but the big blow was a two-run shot in the bottom of the 10th off Nabil Crismatt to give Arizona the victory. Walker has homered in two of his last three games, and he’s up to 7 on the season with an .890 OPS and 22 RBI. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:25 pm
    • Albies picks up two more hits, RBI in loss to M’s
Ozzie Albies went 2-for-4 with an RBI in a loss Tuesday to the Mariners.

Advice: Albies has driven in runs in both games against Seattle thus far. The switch-hitting infielder got Atlanta on the board in the eighth with a single to score Jarred Kelenic, and Albies is now up to 18 RBI on the season. That numbers even more impressive when you consider that Albies missed time with his toe injury. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:47 pm
