    Bae was placed on the 10-day injured list Tuesday with a sprained right wrist, Alex Stumpf of MLB.comreports.

    Advice: Bae presumably suffered the injury during Sunday's game against the Blue Jays, during which he went 1-for-5 with a strikeout. It's unclear how long the 24-year-old will be sidelined, but he'll be eligible to rejoin the active roster June 13. Jack Suwinski was called up from Triple-A Indianapolis in a corresponding move and should see regular playing time going forward, especially since outfielder Michael Taylor was also placed on the paternity list Tuesday.   • Recalled from Triple-A
    The Pirates recalled Peguero from Triple-A Indianapolis on Tuesday, Andrew Destin of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

    Advice: Peguero was a somewhat surprising exclusion from the Pirates' Opening Day roster and wound up spending a couple months at Indianapolis before getting another shot with the big club.     MLB suspended INF Jose Rodriguez for violating Major League Baseball’s betting policy.

    Major League Baseball announced Tuesday that Rodriguez has received a one-year suspension for violating the league's gambling policy, Jared Diamond of the Wall Street Journal reports.

    Advice: The investigation determined that Rodriguez bet a total of $749.09 on baseball during a time he was assigned to the White Sox's Double-A affiliate in Birmingham. He didn't appear in any of the games on which he wagered, and MLB determined the outcomes of the contests weren't compromised in any fashion.     Advice: This was first reported by Lindsay Adler and Jared Diamond of the Wall Street Journal on Monday, and now it’s official. The investigation by MLB found that Marcano bet more than $150,000 on baseball, with $87,319 of that on bets related to baseball.     Luis Guillorme came off the bench to deliver a go-ahead sac fly in the bottom of the eighth as the Angels edged the Padres 2-1 on Monday.
