• Lands on injured list
Bae was placed on the 10-day injured list Tuesday with a sprained right wrist, Alex Stumpf of MLB.comreports.

Advice: Bae presumably suffered the injury during Sunday's game against the Blue Jays, during which he went 1-for-5 with a strikeout. It's unclear how long the 24-year-old will be sidelined, but he'll be eligible to rejoin the active roster June 13. Jack Suwinski was called up from Triple-A Indianapolis in a corresponding move and should see regular playing time going forward, especially since outfielder Michael Taylor was also placed on the paternity list Tuesday. • Recalled from Triple-A
The Pirates recalled Peguero from Triple-A Indianapolis on Tuesday, Andrew Destin of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Advice: Peguero was a somewhat surprising exclusion from the Pirates' Opening Day roster and wound up spending a couple months at Indianapolis before getting another shot with the big club. He's slashed .272/.341/.387 this year with Indianapolis, hitting two home runs and stealing five bases. Peguero will back up at both middle infield spots. Rotowire.com Today, 9:44 am

Advice: Peguero is up with Michael A. Taylor placed on the paternity list. The 23-year-old will be a bench option for the Pirates while Taylor is away for the next three days. Rotoworld Today, 9:30 am

  • MLB suspends Rodriguez for violating betting policy
MLB suspended INF Jose Rodriguez for violating Major League Baseball’s betting policy.

Advice: It was determined that Rodriguez bet on baseball while he was with the White Sox organization, but that he didn’t appear in any games he played in or compromised the outcome. He’ll be eligible to return in the summer of 2025. Rotoworld Today, 7:53 am

  • Suspended for one year
Major League Baseball announced Tuesday that Rodriguez has received a one-year suspension for violating the league's gambling policy, Jared Diamond of the Wall Street Journal reports.

Advice: The investigation determined that Rodriguez bet a total of $749.09 on baseball during a time he was assigned to the White Sox's Double-A affiliate in Birmingham. He didn't appear in any of the games on which he wagered, and MLB determined the outcomes of the contests weren't compromised in any fashion. Rodriguez was traded to the Phillies in April and has played exclusively at Double-A Reading this season, slashing .265/.329/.422 over 164 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 7:43 am

  • Marcano banned for violating betting policy
Tucupita Marcano has been banned from baseball for life for violating Major League Baseball’s betting policy.

Advice: This was first reported by Lindsay Adler and Jared Diamond of the Wall Street Journal on Monday, and now it’s official. The investigation by MLB found that Marcano bet more than $150,000 on baseball, with $87,319 of that on bets related to baseball. The league did determine the bets didn’t compromise the outcomes of any games, but that won’t change Marcano’s status. Rotoworld Today, 7:33 am

  • Three hits in Monday's win
Iglesias went 3-for-5 with two runs scored and an RBI in Monday's win over the Nationals.

Advice: Getting the start at second base and batting eighth with left-hander MacKenzie Gore on the mound for the Nats, Iglesias produced his first three-hit performance since August 2022 -- and that game was in Coors Field. The 34-year-old was added to the roster to provide infield depth, but he's begun his Mets tenure by going 5-for-11 with a stolen base. With Jeff McNeil stumbling to a career-worst .227/.296/.320 slash line and 103.9 mph max exit velocity so far, the door could be open for Iglesias to see more playing time than expected at the keystone, and potentially even take over the starting job. • Luis Guillorme delivers go-ahead sac fly for Halos
Luis Guillorme came off the bench to deliver a go-ahead sac fly in the bottom of the eighth as the Angels edged the Padres 2-1 on Monday.

Advice: For some reason, the Angels bypassed the squeeze opportunity with Guillorme up, a man on third and one out in the eighth. Guillorme instead delivered a ball deep enough into center field to plate Jo Adell from third. It was his second RBI in 15 games with the Angels. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:19 pm
