• First MLB homer since 2021
Adrianza went 1-for-4 with a solo home run during Wednesday's 2-1 loss to the Phillies.

Advice: Adrianza notched his first round-tripper in 132 at-bats, dating back to October of 2021. After spending early portions of the season in Triple-A Salt Lake, Adrianza was called up on Apr. 21 with Anthony Rendon (hamstring) moved to the IL. Since then, Adrianza has gone 4-for-15 (.267) with three runs scored and two RBI. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:11 pm
  • Three hits, steal in win
Castro went 3-for-5 with a double, a triple, an RBI, a run scored and a stolen base in Wednesday's 10-5 win over the White Sox.

Advice: Castro wound up a homer shy of a cycle Wednesday while recording his fifth multi-hit game during his current eight-game hitting streak. He's gone 16-for-35 (.457) over the course of the streak, boosting his slash line to .270/.339/.450 through 30 games this year. The 27-year-old Castro added two homers, 13 runs scored, 12 RBI and three stolen bases while serving as the Twins' primary third baseman in the absence of Royce Lewis (quadriceps). • Not in starting lineup
Newman is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday's outing versus the Dodgers.

Advice: The 30-year-old infielder will get a break with Blaze Alexander starting at shortstop Wednesday as the Diamondbacks finish out their series against Los Angeles. Newman has started at shortstop in six of Arizona's last 10 games and is slashing .157/.189/.314 on the season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:15 pm

  • Addison Barger goes 0-for-3 against Royals
Addison Barger went 0-for-3 on Wednesday, leaving him 1-for-18 to start his career.

Advice: Two strikeouts and a weak grounder today. Barger has been on base just once in five games, collecting a lone single, and he’s struck out six times. He’ll need to pick it up if he’s going to survive Kevin Kiermaier’s eventual return. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:49 pm

  • Willi Castro goes 3-for-5, steals base
Willi Castro went 3-for-5 with a triple, a double and a stolen base Wednesday as the Twins took down the White Sox 10-5.

Advice: Castro has really warmed up, going 16-for-35 with eight RBI in his last eight games. That’s raised his OPS from .538 to 789. He was in line to lose playing time due to Carlos Correa’s return, but the hot streak has changed that, and now that Byron Buxton is down, there’s little doubt that Castro will stay in the lineup for a while. He’s an option for teams in need of steals. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:27 pm

  • Held out with back issue
Manager Aaron Boone said Berti (groin) won't play in a scheduled rehab game with Double-A Somerset on Wednesday after his back locked up on him, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.

Advice: The hope is that it's only a one-day absence for Berti, but that wouldn't seem to be a given. He's played two games with Somerset already as he comes back from a groin strain. Berti had potentially been looking at a return from the 10-day injured list this weekend, but that might be delayed now. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:51 pm

  • Jon Berti (back) won’t play rehab game Wednesday
Yankees’ manager Aaron Boone told reporters that Jon Berti (groin) won’t play in his scheduled minor league rehab game on Wednesday due to tightness in his back.

Advice: Boone termed it a precautionary measure and said that they were hopeful Berti would be able to return to the lineup on Thursday. He’s probably going to need a couple more games before he’s ready to rejoin the Yankees, but if all goes well we could see him in Pinstripes at some point next week. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:46 pm

  • Starting at shortstop Wednesday
Brujan will start at shortstop and bat eighth in Wednesday's game against the Rockies.

  • Moves to bench Wednesday
Brujan is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rockies, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

Advice: With Tim Anderson (thumb) returning to action following a one-game absence, Brujan will head to the bench after filling in as Miami's starting shortstop in Tuesday's 7-6 extra-inning win. Before Tuesday, Brujan had started three of the Marlins' previous four games at third base, and he'll continue to vie with Emmanuel Rivera for playing time at that position until Jake Burger (oblique) returns from the 10-day injured list.
