    Michael Massey had a three-run homer and an RBI groundout Wednesday as the Royals topped the Blue Jays 6-1.

    Advice: Massey’s 357-foot homer off Nate Pearson put the game away in the eighth. The second baseman also homered Tuesday. He was held out of the starting lineup three times in his first 10 games back from a season-opening IL stint due to back tightness, including once against a righty, but as long as he keeps hitting, he should hold off Adam Frazier and be a fixture against righties.     Willi Castro went 3-for-5 with a triple, a double and a stolen base Wednesday as the Twins took down the White Sox 10-5.

    Advice: Castro has really warmed up, going 16-for-35 with eight RBI in his last eight games. That’s raised his OPS from .538 to 789. He was in line to lose playing time due to Carlos Correa’s return, but the hot streak has changed that, and now that Byron Buxton is down, there’s little doubt that Castro will stay in the lineup for a while.     Manager Aaron Boone said Berti (groin) won't play in a scheduled rehab game with Double-A Somerset on Wednesday after his back locked up on him, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.

    Advice: The hope is that it's only a one-day absence for Berti, but that wouldn't seem to be a given. He's played two games with Somerset already as he comes back from a groin strain.   • Jon Berti (back) won’t play rehab game Wednesday
    Yankees’ manager Aaron Boone told reporters that Jon Berti (groin) won’t play in his scheduled minor league rehab game on Wednesday due to tightness in his back.

    Advice: Boone termed it a precautionary measure and said that they were hopeful Berti would be able to return to the lineup on Thursday.
