• Arraez collects four hits to lead Padres in debut
Luis Arraez had quite the night at the plate in his Padres’ debut on Saturday night, going 4-for-6 with a double, two runs scored and an RBI as the Padres walloped the Diamondbacks 13-1.

Advice: Arraez led off the game with a double off of Brandon Pfaadt, then raced around to score the Padres’ first run on an RBI single off the bat of Manny Machado. He singled in the third inning and then added an RBI single in the fourth inning. Arraez also led off the seventh inning with a single and scored on an RBI double by Machado. With the four-hit night, the 27-year-old infielder is now hitting .315/.359/.392 with six RBI on the season. Rotoworld 9 minutes ago

  • Jurickson Profar has jack and a bag in victory
Jurickson Profar went 3-for-4 with a two-run homer and a stolen base on Saturday night as the Padres demolished the Diamondbacks in San Diego.

Advice: Profar didn’t seem to mind being dropped down to the fifth spot in the lineup following the addition of Luis Arraez. He reached on a fielder’s choice and swiped a base in the opening inning but was left stranded at second. He then led off the fourth inning with a single and scored on a ground ball off the bat of Luis Campusano. He also helped to pad the Padres’ lead with a 395-foot (102.0 mph EV) two-run shot off of Brandon Hughes in the seventh inning, making it a 7-0 ballgame. Conventional wisdom says that he’ll eventually crash back to earth, but Profar is on top of the world right now. He’s slashing a robust .347/.435/.542 with five homers, 23 RBI and a pair of stolen bases. Rotoworld 10 minutes ago
  • Ha-Seong Kim launches three-run homer in victory
Ha-Seong Kim launched a three-run homer in the seventh inning on Saturday night, helping to power the Padres to a lopsided victory over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Kim had been hitless in three at-bats entering the seventh inning, but he was able to salvage his night by crushing a 382-foot (97.2 mph EV) three-run blast off of Bryce Jarvis. He also drove in a run with a ground ball in the ninth inning. On the season, the 28-year-old infielder is now slashing .211/.315/.391 with five homers, 21 RBI and seven stolen bases through his first 36 games. Rotoworld 10 minutes ago

  • Michael King fires six scoreless in win Saturday
Michael King was outstanding in Saturday night’s victory over the Diamondbacks, scattering six hits over six innings of scoreless baseball.

Advice: The 28-year-old right-hander struck out three batters on the evening and didn’t issue a free pass. All six hits that he allowed in the ballgame were singles, and the Diamondbacks never really mounted a serious scoring threat against him. He got six swings and misses on 91 pitches on the night, posting a CSW of 23 percent. For the season, he now holds a 4.29 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and a 43/21 K/BB ratio over 42 innings in his first eight appearances (seven starts). He’ll look to replicate this fine outing when he toes the slab against against the Dodgers on Friday night. Rotoworld 10 minutes ago

  • Corbin Carroll singles in loss to Padres
Corbin Carroll went 1-for-4 with a single as the Diamondbacks were demolished by the Padres on Saturday night in San Diego.

Advice: Hitting out of the eighth spot in the Diamondbacks’ lineup, the 23-year-old outfielder singled with two outs in the fifth inning but was left stranded at first base. He struck out in each of his other two plate appearances in the ballgame. It’s been a brutal start to the season for Carroll, as he’s hitting a paltry .194/.291/.242 with one home run, five RBI and eight stolen bases through his first 32 ballgames. Rotoworld 10 minutes ago

  • Brandon Pfaadt struggles in loss to Padres
Brandon Pfaadt struggled in a losing effort against the Padres on Saturday night, giving up five runs (three earned) on 10 hits over his six-plus innings of work.

Advice: Pfaadt struck out four batters on the evening and didn’t issue a base on balls. The Padres scratched out a run against him in the opening inning on an RBI single by Manny Machado, then tacked on two more runs in the fourth. Pfaadt returned for the seventh inning where he allowed singles to Luis Arraez and Fernando Tatis Jr. before exiting — and both of them ultimately came around to score. The 25-year-old right-hander got 11 whiffs on 89 pitches on the night, registering a CSW of 25 percent. He’ll look to bounce back as he brings a 4.61 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and a 42/6 K/BB ratio (41 innings) into Friday’s start against the Orioles in Baltimore. Rotoworld 10 minutes ago

  • Getting MRI on knee Sunday
Murphy (knee) will undergo an MRI on Sunday, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Murphy said he felt a pop in his left knee while trying to block a wild pitch in Saturday's loss to the Phillies. It's an injury that forced him from the game and Murphy admitted after the contest that his concern level is high. With Patrick Bailey (concussion) also sidelined, the Giants are down to one healthy catcher on their 40-man roster in Blake Sabol. Rotowire.com 21 minutes ago

  • Expected to play Sunday
Phillies manager Rob Thomson said Bohm (hip) will be reevaluated Sunday, but he doesn't expect the third baseman to miss any starts, Alex Coffey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Advice: Bohm was removed from Saturday's game versus the Giants with right hip flexor tightness, but his exit was considered precautionary and it sounds like he should be fine. The third baseman singled, was hit by a pitch and scored two runs before being lifted from Saturday's tilt. Rotowire.com 25 minutes ago

  • Alec Bohm (hip) expects to play on Sunday
Alec Bohm (hip) told reporters after Saturday’s game that he expects to return to the Phillies’ lineup on Sunday.

Advice: Bohm elaborated, saying “I’m good. I’ve played through much worse. It’s nothing really I’m concerned about.” Whether or not Phillies’ skipper Rob Thomson gives him that opportunity though, remains to be seen. Either way, it doesn’t sound like a trip to the injured list will be in the cards for the 27-year-old slugger. Rotoworld 28 minutes ago
