      Freddy Peralta was tagged for six runs in 5 1/3 innings by the Reds on Friday.

      Advice: We sure do miss the Peralta of April. He gave up 10 hits tonight, which matches his total from both his first three starts and his second three starts. In fact. he had never before surrendered 10 hits in an outing. His velocity has held steady, and he got 16 missed swings tonight, but the Brewers couldn’t pick him up in this one.       Friedl went 3-for-5 with a home run, two RBI and two runs scored in Friday's win over the Brewers.

      Advice: Friedl opened the game's scoring with his solo shot in the third inning. He singled and scored in the fifth and knocked in a run during the sixth. Friedl has four home runs this season, all coming over his last 11 games. During that stretch, he's hitting .309 with 12 RBI despite collecting multiple hits only twice.       Advice: Peralta gave up two home runs in the loss, including a two-run shot by Jeimer Candelario in the fifth inning. He forced 16 whiffs Friday, marking the 12th time he's reached double digits this season. Peralta has posted a 7.90 ERA through three starts this month, bumping his season ERA up to 4.38 through 76 innings. He's now 1-4 since the start of May.       Advice: The dynamic 26-year-old has been sidelined since April 29 due to back and knee issues, but is finally ready to return to the Rockies’ lineup. Prior to landing on the injured list, he was hitting a paltry .170/.243/.277 with one homer, seven RBI and a pair of stolen bases through his first 26 ballgames.       Jones (knee) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list Friday.

      Advice: Jones landed on the injured list April 30 due to back stiffness. His initial rehab assignment was halted May 21 due to right knee soreness stemming from a slide, but he was able to resume activities June 3. Across his 12 rehab games with Triple-A Albuquerque, Jones went 9-for-42 with six runs, one home run and six RBI. He is starting in left field and batting fifth for Friday's game against the Pirates.       Advice: The 33-year-old had X-rays come back negative on his right hand after being hit by a pitch Thursday, and he's apparently fine given he's back in the lineup a day later.       Yates picked up the save over the Dodgers on Thursday, allowing one walk over a scoreless ninth inning while striking out three.

      Advice: Yates had a bit of a hard time getting through the ninth after entering the contest with a two-run lead, surrendering a leadoff walk to Teoscar Hernandez on five pitches and advancing him to second base on a balk. However, the veteran reliever made short work of the next three batters, getting all three to go down swinging as he secured his 10th save in as many chances. Yates has been solid in the closer role for Texas thus far and holds a 1.11 ERA on the campaign.       McArthur (3-3) allowed a hit and struck out one in a scoreless inning to earn the win over the Yankees on Thursday.

      Advice: McArthur rebounded from his previous outing, which saw him take the loss versus the Mariners on Sunday after allowing three runs (two earned) in two-thirds of an inning. He's kept runs off the board in four of his five outings in June, but he has just one save this month.       Kirby Yates struck out three in a scoreless ninth to get a save against the Dodgers on Thursday.

      Advice: Yates did allow a walk, but this was a much better effort than the one he had Wednesday when he picked up a save but was fortunate to not blow the opportunity. The right-hander has been outstanding for the overwhelming majority of 2024, and this scoreless outing gives him a 1.11 ERA along with 10 saves. He isn’t giving up this closing gig.
