    Advice: Steer kicked off the scoring with a solo shot to left-center field -- his fourth round-tripper of the season -- off Padres starter Joe Musgrove in the opening frame. It was the first time he’s gone deep since April 6, snapping a bizarre 22-game homerless drought.     Austin Riley went 2-for-4 with a two-run triple on Wednesday, leading the Braves to a 5-2 victory over the Mariners.

    Advice: Riley scalded a 102.7 mph opposite-field triple off the right-field wall in the fourth inning to give Atlanta a commanding four-run lead at the time.     Willi Castro went 3-for-5 with a triple, a double and a stolen base Wednesday as the Twins took down the White Sox 10-5.

    Advice: Castro has really warmed up, going 16-for-35 with eight RBI in his last eight games. That’s raised his OPS from .538 to 789. He was in line to lose playing time due to Carlos Correa’s return, but the hot streak has changed that, and now that Byron Buxton is down, there’s little doubt that Castro will stay in the lineup for a while.     Manager Aaron Boone said Berti (groin) won't play in a scheduled rehab game with Double-A Somerset on Wednesday after his back locked up on him, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.

    Advice: The hope is that it's only a one-day absence for Berti, but that wouldn't seem to be a given. He's played two games with Somerset already as he comes back from a groin strain.
