    • Ryan Pressley gets second save for Astros
Ryan Pressly worked a scoreless ninth with a two-run lead for his second save Tuesday against the Giants.

Advice: Pressly unsurprisingly got the nod over Bryan Abreu with Josh Hader unavailable after working the previous two days. Pressly has been used as the Astros’ eighth-inning guy throughout, even though, with his 5.19 ERA, he’s been noticeably less effective than Abreu. Rotoworld 35 minutes ago

    • Homers in return
Mateo went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run in Tuesday's 4-0 win over Atlanta.

Advice: Mateo missed just over a week due to a concussion, and he provided a big blast in his first at-bat back from the injured list. His second-inning homer ended up being plenty of offense for Baltimore in this contest. Mateo his .246 over the 20 games prior to his absence, and he's at a .248/.295/.470 slash line with four homers, 16 RBI, 20 runs scored and 10 stolen bases through 43 contests overall. While he started at shortstop Tuesday to give Gunnar Henderson a breather, Mateo's playing time will likely be primarily at second base moving forward, which will push Jordan Westburg over to third and Ramon Urias back into a utility role. • Josh Naylor has two hits, HR in win
Josh Naylor went 2-for-5 with a home run and three RBI in a win over the Reds on Tuesday.

Advice: Naylor blooped in a 79 mph single in the third inning that scored a run, but he certainly got all of his home run in the eighth inning, hitting it 425 feet at 109 mph for his 17th home run on the season. The .224 batting average might not be what you were looking for but the power and 50 RBIs have been elite for Naylor this season. He may be sacrificing a bit of average for power, but he also came into this game with a .200 BABIP, which is well below his career mark of .283. The batting average should continue to tick up as the summer goes on. Rotoworld Today, 7:40 pm

    • Ezequiel Tovar homers, drives in three vs. Twins
Ezequiel Tovar launched a three-run homer on Tuesday in the Rockies’ win over the Twins.

Advice: Tovar’s three-run homer in the top of the sixth broke a scoreless tie in what had been a pitcher’s duel through the first five innings. The 408-foot blast marked Tovar’s 11th homer of the season and pushed his RBI total to 31 on the year. He’s now hit safely in four straight games and is slashing .286/.302/.500 this month with three home runs. Rotoworld Today, 7:31 pm
    • Falls to Orioles
Fried (6-3) took the loss Tuesday against Baltimore, allowing four runs on six hits and two walks over five innings. He struck out three.

Advice: Three of the runs charged to Fried came on a Jorge Mateo homer in the second inning. It was a tough night for the 30-year-old left-hander -- Fried had won three consecutive starts prior to Tuesday, allowing just three earned runs over 24 innings while striking out 28 in that span. Overall, his ERA sits at 3.20 on the year with a 1.06 WHIP and 70:24 K:BB across 13 starts (78.2 innings). Fried will look to bounce back in his next outing, currently scheduled for early next week at home against the Tigers. Rotowire.com Today, 7:18 pm

    • Jorge Mateo hits three-run homer, O’s edge Braves
Jorge Mateo launched a three-run homer on Tuesday, propelling the Orioles to a 4-0 victory over the Braves.

Advice: Mateo made an immediate impact in his return to Baltimore’s lineup, connecting on a hanging curveball from Braves ace Max Fried, launching a no-doubter to left-center field in the second inning of his first contest back from the injured list following a one-week absence due to a concussion. It was his lone hit in three at-bats and just his fourth long ball of the season. Rotoworld Today, 6:10 pm

    • Max Fried turns in rare dud Tuesday vs. Orioles
Max Fried allowed four runs over five innings on Tuesday in a loss to the Orioles.

Advice: It wasn’t a total clunker, but it certainly qualifies as a rare dud for Fried, who was pitching on extra rest in this one and ended up allowing four earned runs for the first time since May 5. He was tagged for six hits, including a three-run homer by Jorge Mateo, and only finished with three strikeouts in an abbreviated outing. He’ll bring a solid 3.20 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 70/24 K/BB ratio across 78 2/3 innings (13 starts) into a favorable matchup on Sunday against the Rays. Rotoworld Today, 6:06 pm

    • Idle Tuesday
Abreu isn't in the Astros' lineup versus the Giants on Tuesday.

Advice: Prior to being absent from the lineup Tuesday, Abreu had made six straight starts and had made appearances in nine consecutive games. He went 5-for-29 with two homers in the nine game span. With the 37-year-old getting a breather, Jon Singleton will start at first and bat fifth. Rotowire.com Today, 4:08 pm

    • Starting rehab assignment
Drury (hamstring) is beginning his rehab assignment in Triple-A Salt Lake on Tuesday, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Advice: Drury went down with a hamstring injury May 8 and has not played in a game since then. The second baseman has not faced any setbacks with his recovery to this point, but it remains unclear how many rehab games Drury will appear in. Rotowire.com Today, 2:35 pm
