    • Andrew Vaughn homers again in rout of D-Backs
Andrew Vaughn went 2-for-5 with a homer and three RBI Saturday in a win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: It’s been a fantastic June for Vaughn, even with the White Sox playing at an absolutely abhorrent level. The 26-year-old hit a two-run blast off Bryce Jarvis in the fifth, and the first baseman drove in another run with a single two innings earlier. Vaughn ended May with a .577 OPS, and the current slash of .227/.283/.386 helps tell the story of how good he’s been since. Rotoworld 22 minutes ago

    • Grabs four-out save
Jansen pitched 1.1 perfect innings to earn the save in Saturday's 8-4 win over the Yankees.

Advice: Greg Weissert was shaky in the eighth inning, but Jansen was able to get the last out of the frame with runners on the corners. The Red Sox added some insurance in the bottom of the eighth, and Jansen slammed the door in the ninth. The right-hander is up to 11 saves this season, though he has picked up just two of them over four appearances in June. For the season, he's been reliable with a 2.74 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 30:11 K:BB over 23 innings. Rotowire.com 34 minutes ago
    • Rebounds with win, quality start
Morton (4-3) earned the win over Tampa Bay on Saturday, allowing one run on three hits and two walks while striking out eight batters over six innings.

Advice: Morton had his swing-and-miss stuff working, racking up 22 whiffs among his 105 pitches. The veteran hurler fell behind by a run in the first inning but yielded only two hits while holding the Rays scoreless thereafter. This was a nice bounce-back for Morton after he surrendered five runs (four earned) over five innings against Washington in his previous start. Saturday's victory was his first since May 10, and it was just his second quality start across six outings during that span. Rotowire.com Today, 9:19 pm

    • Kenley Jansen locks down four-out save on Saturday
Kenley Jansen picked up his 11th save of the season on Saturday night, recording the final four outs against the Yankees.

Advice: Jansen came on to put out a fire in the eighth inning with two men on and two outs with the Red Sox clinging to a two-run advantage. He got Anthony Volpe to fly out to right field to end the threat — then returned to work a perfect ninth inning to close it out. On the season, Jansen now holds a 2.74 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and a 30/11 K/BB ratio (23 innings) to go along with a pair of saves and two victories. Rotoworld Today, 7:32 pm
    • Charlie Morton has vintage performance in win
Charlie Morton allowed one run on three hits in six innings in a win over the Rays on Saturday.

Advice: Morton looked like his old self, striking out eight and walking two. He induced 22 whiffs on 49 swings for a ridiculous 45 percent whiff rate and 35 percent CSW. It was perhaps the 40-year-old’s best start of the season, and he’ll look to keep it going next week in a tough showdown against the Yankees. Rotoworld Today, 7:02 pm

    • Salvador Perez (knee) could return on Sunday
Salvador Perez (knee) is not in the Royals’ starting lineup for Saturday night’s battle against the Dodgers.

Advice: The star 34-year-old backstop was removed from Friday’s game due to discomfort in his right knee. He underwent an MRI exam on Saturday — the results of which were very favorable — and Perez is expected to return to the Royals’ lineup in a day or two. Austin Nola was recalled from Triple-A Omaha on Saturday to add depth behind the plate. Rotoworld Today, 4:46 pm

    • Could be back Sunday
Perez has a right knee sprain but is expected to be back in the lineup Sunday against the Dodgers or Tuesday against Oakland, Joel Goldberg of Bally Sports Kansas City reports.

Advice: An MRI revealed Perez is dealing with just a minor sprain and some inflammation in his right knee, which is encouraging news after he was pulled from Friday's game against Los Angeles. While Perez is expected to be back in the lineup as soon as Sunday, it's possible he'll DH for a few games to get his knee back to full strength, especially after the Royals called up Austin Nola on Saturday. • Resumes playing field
Drury (hamstring) played second base in a rehab game with Triple-A Salt Lake on Friday, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Advice: This was Drury's fourth rehab game, but he had served as the designated hitter in each of the previous three contests. The veteran infielder is working his way back from a left hamstring injury that has kept him from competing for the Angels since May 8. Drury has gone 5-for-13 with three walks and an RBI in his rehab stint thus far and appears very close to rejoining the big-league club. Rotowire.com Today, 3:28 pm

    • On bench Saturday
Perez (knee) isn't in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Dodgers.

Advice: Perez was pulled from Friday's game with right knee discomfort and will be held out of the lineup Saturday, giving way to Freddy Fermin behind the dish. While it's unclear how severe Perez's injury is, the Royals felt the need to call up catcher Austin Nola from Triple-A Omaha, indicating Perez could miss multiple games. Rotowire.com Today, 3:22 pm
