• Snaps out of slump
Tellez went 3-for-4 with a two-RBI double, and two RBI singles during Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Blue Jays.

Advice: Tellez hadn't logged an RBI since May 5 and had driven in three batters since April 4. He bested that total Sunday, plating all four of the Pirates' runs and reaching safely in four of his five plate appearances. Prior to Sunday's contest, Tellez had generated four hits in 40 at-bats with one walk. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:11 pm
  • Tigers will option Spencer Torkelson to Triple-A
Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports that the Tigers plan to option slumping first baseman Spencer Torkelson to Triple-A Toledo.

Advice: Torkelson, the top overall selection from the 2020 draft, has slashed a miserable .201/.266/.330 through his first 230 plate appearances with only four homers, 18 RBI and a 56/16 K/BB ratio. He has been especially bad as of late, mired in a 3-for-33 (.091) funk with a 13/3 K/BB ratio over his last nine games. Justyn-Henry Malloy will be promoted from Triple-A Toledo to take Torkelson’s spot on the Tigers’ active roster. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:40 pm
  • Heading to Triple-A
The Tigers are expected to option Torkelson to Triple-A Toledo on Monday, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.

Advice: Torkelson was held out of the lineup for two of the Tigers' last three games after struggling to a .201/.266/.330 slash line with four home runs, 18 RBI and 24 runs scored over 229 plate appearances in 54 games this season. The first baseman will look to hit the reset button with Toledo before potentially returning to Detroit's major-league roster down the road. In the meantime, Justyn-Henry Malloy is set to be called up from Triple-A to replace Torkelson on the 26-man active roster. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:21 pm

The 29-year-old outfielder was also plunked twice in the ballgame — once with the bases loaded to drive in a run in the eighth inning. He then came around to score on Mitch Garver’s three-run double. On the season, he’s hitting a respectable .265/.315/.441 with six homers and 15 RBI. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:47 pm

  • Scratched from lineup
Clemens was scratched from Sunday's lineup against the Cardinals due to back spasms, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Clemens was set to start at second base and bat seventh against St. Louis, but he'll now take a seat due to his ailing back. Whit Merrifield will replace him in the lineup. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:51 pm

  • Kody Clemens (back) scratched from lineup Sunday
Kody Clemens was scratched from the Phillies’ starting lineup for Sunday night’s battle against the Cardinals due to back spasms.

Advice: Whit Merrifield will replace Clemens at second base against right-hander Lance Lynn and the Cardinals. Clemens should be considered day-to-day and is likely to return to the Phillies’ starting lineup early next week. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:49 pm

  • Brendan Donovan (neck) remains out vs. Phillies
Brendan Donovan is not in the starting lineup for Sunday’s game against the Phillies.

  • Starting, but playing time falling
Goodman will start in left field and bat eighth in Sunday's game against the Dodgers.

Advice: Goodman concluded last weekend's series versus the Phillies by making his sixth start in eight games, but his playing time has fallen off over the past week. Before drawing back into the lineup Sunday, Goodman started just once in the Rockies' preceding five games. With Kris Bryant settling in primarily at designated hitter and Sean Bouchard and Charlie Blackmon typically serving as Colorado's starters in the corner outfield, Goodman has found himself as the odd man out of late.
