    Clayton Kershaw (shoulder) will make his first minor league rehab start at Single-A Rancho Cucamonga on Wednesday.

    Advice: Kershaw made it through another simulated game without issue on Thursday, so this was seemingly the most obvious next step for him.     Advice: The White Sox’ bullpen as a whole this season has been an absolute trainwreck, and while Leasure has some of the best pure stuff in the group, he hasn’t been immune to the struggles. The 25-year-old hurler has registered a 4.08 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and a 26/17 K/BB ratio over 28 2/3 innings on the season — but gave up four runs in a brutal loss to the Mariners on Monday night.     Hendricks tossed 4.1 scoreless innings of relief in Friday's 3-0 loss to the Cardinals. He allowed two hits and struck out one.

    Advice: Chicago starter Jordan Hicks departed after just 1.2 innings due to an oblique injury, which pushed Hendricks into action. The veteran responded well and had perhaps his best outing of the season, giving the Cubs some much-needed length out of the bullpen. While Hendricks still has an ugly 8.20 ERA overall, he's been better lately with 8.2 scoreless innings over his last three appearances.
