    • Luis Arraez blasts first home run to power Padres
Luis Arraez blasted his first home run of the 2024 season on Wednesday, powering the Padres to a 7-3 victory over the Reds in Cincinnati.

Advice: Arraez started off the game with a bang on Wednesday, crushing a leadoff 374-foot (96.5 mph EV) blast off of Nick Martinez to give the Padres an early 1-0 lead. He also singled in the third inning and smacked a run-scoring single off of Brent Suter in the sixth inning that extended the Padres’ lead to 7-1. He tacked on another single in the ninth inning just for good measure. With his four-hit attack, the 27-year-old is now slashing .330/.373/.408 with a homer and 11 RBI. Rotoworld Wednesday, 5:54 pm

    • Getting breather Wednesday
Diaz is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Angels.

Advice: He'll be getting a breather for the series finale after starting behind the dish Monday and Tuesday while going 3-for-8 with a pair of doubles, two runs and an RBI. Victor Caratini will handle the catching duties Wednesday. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 9:38 am

    • Yainer Diaz does 2-for-4, scores twice in loss
Yainer Diaz went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI against the Angels on Monday.

Advice: Diaz was also robbed of a possible homer by Jo Adell at the right field wall in the ninth. That was actually his softest hit ball of the night. His EVs in the game were 110.7 mph, 107.8 mph, 103.7 mph and 98.4 mph. His hard-hit rate now stands at 51%, which is particularly impressive in combination with a 14% strikeout rate. • Gets break Sunday
Diaz is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against Milwaukee.

Advice: The 25-year-old will cede catching duties to Victor Caratini as the Astros finish out their series against the Brewers. Diaz has started four of the last five games for Houston, going 3-for-18 with three RBI in that stretch. Rotowire.com May 19, 8:31 am

    • Vladimir Guerrero Jr. collects three hits Saturday
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. went 3-for-4 with a double, a run scored, and an RBI against the Rays on Saturday.

Advice: Guerrero Jr. doubled to lead off the fourth inning against Zach Eflin and came around to score on a single by George Springer. He added a run to the board for Toronto with an RBI-single in the fifth and led off the bottom of the eighth with his third hit of the day. The 25-year-old first baseman is hitting .280/.373/.393 with four homers and 20 RBI across 193 plate appearances. Rotoworld May 18, 2:59 pm
