    • Bregman blasts two homers Monday
Alex Bregman went 3-for-4 with a double, two home runs, three runs scored and four RBI in the Astros’ win over the Athletics on Monday.

Advice: Bregman homered in the fourth inning and seventh inning before adding a two-run double in the eighth inning for good measure. He’d been off to a slow start so far this season and the Astros have even moved him down in the batting order. More games like this and he’ll be back in the middle of the order.

    • Collects three hits Saturday
Volpe went 3-for-4 with two RBI and a stolen base in a loss to Tampa Bay on Saturday.

Advice: Volpe was the only Yankee to stand out offensively in the loss -- he was responsible for three of the team's five hits, plated both of the club's runs on a second-inning single and added a stolen base to boot. The young shortstop has reached base safely via hit or walk in nine straight contests, slashing .286/.375/.486 with two homers, seven RBI, seven runs and a 5:11 BB:K over that span. After swiping 24 bags as a rookie last year, Volpe is on pace to exceed that mark with eight steals in nine attempts so far in 2024. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:42 am
    • Ryan McMahon powers Rockies to win over Rangers
Ryan McMahon went 4-for-5 with an RBI on Saturday, leading the Rockies to an 8-3 win over the Rangers.

Advice: McMahon served as Colorado’s primary offensive catalyst in this one, kicking off a six-run outburst in the seventh inning with an RBI single off Rangers reliever David Robertson. The 29-year-old corner infielder has been a steady, yet unspectacular, fantasy contributor for a couple seasons now. He’s off to a really nice start this year, batting .303/.391/.462 with 16 runs scored, five homers and 21 RBI through 170 plate appearances in 39 games. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:54 am

    • Modest three-game hitting streak
Bregman went 1-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored Saturday against the Tigers.

Advice: Bregman delivered an RBI single in the fourth inning to extend his hitting streak to three games. While that's not particularly notable, he's collected a hit in three straight starts only two other times this season, with the most recent stretch ending April 15. The end result is that Bregman has just a .201 batting average across 154 plate appearances on the campaign, though he has improved his production of late by tallying six RBI across his last 13 contests. • Breaks out with four hits
McMahon went 4-for-5 with one RBI and two runs scored in Saturday's 8-3 win over the Rangers.

Advice: McMahon entered Saturday just 2-for-21 (.095) over his last six contests. The only downside to his performance in this contest was that all four hits were singles. The third baseman is up to a .303/.391/.462 slash line with five home runs, 21 RBI, 16 runs scored and no stolen bases over 39 contests this season. He's never hit higher than .254 or slugged better than .450 in a full season, so the first quarter of the 2024 campaign has essentially been McMahon at his absolute best, which consequently raises a red flag for regression later in the year. • Four hits in comeback win
Guerrero went 4-for-5 with a run scored, three RBI and a stolen base in Saturday's 10-8 win over the Twins.

Advice: The first baseman banged out singles in each of his first four plate appearances, with the last one bringing home two runs in the sixth inning to tie the game at 8-8 after the Blue Jays had fallen behind 7-1 in the top of the third. Guerrero has four multi-hit performances in the last five games, a stretch in which he's gone 11-for-21 (.524) with a homer and eight RBI. The surge has boosted his slash line on the season to .272/.360/.391, as he continues to look for his power stroke. Rotowire.com Saturday, 8:47 pm
    • Yainer Diaz has two hits, RBI in loss to Tigers
Yainer Diaz went 2-for-4 with a pair of singles and an RBI as the Astros fell to the Tigers on Saturday night in Detroit.

Advice: Diaz delivered a run-scoring single off of Tarik Skubal in the fourth inning that pulled the Astros to within five runs at 7-2. That would be as close as they would get. With the two-hit attack, the 25-year-old backstop is now hitting .273/.309/.403 to go along with three homers and 17 RBI on the season. Rotoworld Saturday, 5:53 pm

    • Anthony Volpe plates two runs in loss to Rays
Anthony Volpe went 3-for-4 and drove in both of the Yankees’ runs in Saturday’s loss to the Rays.

Advice: Volpe smacked a two-run single off of Zack Littell in the second inning that gave the Yankees a 2-1 advantage. That would wind up being the extent of their offensive output though. He also singled with two outs in the fifth inning and swiped second base, but the Yankees couldn’t cash him in. Volpe got his third knock off of Jason Adam in the seventh. With his three-hit attack, the 23-year-old shortstop is now hitting .268/.354/.408 with five homers, 20 RBI and eight stolen bases. Rotoworld Saturday, 4:27 pm
    • Vladdy Jr. has four hits, three RBI, SB vs. Twins
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. went 4-for-5, drove in three runs and stole a base in a 10-8 win for the Blue Jays on Saturday over the Twins.

Advice: Vladdy Jr. did it all Saturday in the come-from-behind win. The first baseman has swung the bat much more effectively as of late, and his OPS has risen to .751 after hovering around .700 for much of the season. The 25-year-old has his first steal of the season, and it’ll probably be a while before we see the second one. Rotoworld Saturday, 3:20 pm
