• Consecutive starts behind plate
Caratini went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Sunday against the Twins.

Advice: Caratini drew consecutive starts behind the plate for the first time this season and has now started three of Houston's last four games. He has only two hits in that span, though both have left the yard. It's unlikely that Caratini's playing time outlook will change in the long term, though Yainer Diaz hit just .200/.213/.259 across 88 plate appearances in May. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:06 pm
  • Doubles, drives in one Sunday
Kelly went 2-for-5 with a double and an RBI in Sunday's 8-4, 10-inning win over the Red Sox.

Advice: Despite batting ninth, Kelly was able to deliver a solid performance nonetheless as he extended his hitting streak to seven games. The 29-year-old is splitting time with Jake Rogers behind the plate, with the latter likely to draw the start Monday after Kelly caught all 10 innings Sunday. Both players' fantasy values are capped somewhat by the timeshare, though they can still be useful in deeper formats. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:31 pm
  • Henry Davis set to rejoin Pirates on Tuesday
Corey Crisan of DK Pittsburgh Sports reports that the Pirates plan to recall Henry Davis from Triple-A Indianapolis on Tuesday.

Advice: Since being optioned out to Triple-A Indianapolis on May 3, Davis has hit .296 with seven homers and 17 RBI. The Pirates believe that he can breathe some life into a struggling offense, though it’s unclear how much action he’ll see behind the plate versus in the outfield. Fantasy managers in two-catcher formats should check to see if Davis is languishing on the waiver wire. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:38 pm

  • Returning to big leagues
Davis is expected to be called up from Triple-A Indianapolis on Tuesday, Corey Crisan of DK Pittsburgh Sports reports.

Advice: Davis was sent down May 3 after a disappointing start to the season with the Pirates, but he's slashed .282 with seven home runs, 17 RBI, 18 runs scored and a stolen base over 22 contests at Triple-A. He opened the season as Pittsburgh's primary option at catcher and he'll likely split time with Yasmani Grandal at backstop once back in the big leagues. Grant Koch stands out as the most likely option that could be sent down to Indianapolis in a corresponding move, but nothing is official yet. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:27 pm

  • Sent back to Triple-A
Atlanta optioned Tromp to Triple-A Gwinnett following Sunday's 3-1 win over the Athletics.

Advice: Tromp has seen limited usage as the No. 2 catcher behind Travis d'Arnaud for much of the season. He recently dropped to third on the depth chart behind Sean Murphy and d'Arnaud and hadn't played at all since Murphy was reinstated from the injured list Monday. The 29-year-old will now head back to Gwinnett to get regular playing time, with Atlanta set to announce a replacement for him on the 26-man active roster prior to Tuesday's series opener in Boston. • Victor Caratini homers in loss to Twins
Victor Caratini, starting behind the plate for Houston for the third time in four games, hit his fourth homer Sunday against the Twins.

Advice: He nearly had a second; his 401-foot fly to right-center in the seventh would have been a homer in 20 ballparks, according to Statcast. We still like Yainer Díaz, but Caratini is certainly one of the game’s top-30 catchers and really should have landed a starting job as a free agent over the winter. He’ll probably continue to cut into Díaz’s playing time in at least the short-term, making Díaz expendable in one-catcher shallow leagues. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:21 pm
  • Getting rest Sunday
Diaz is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Dodgers.

Advice: Diaz will receive a breather for the series finale in Los Angeles after he had started at catcher or designated hitter in each of the Rockies' previous six games. Jacob Stallings will handle catching duties Sunday in Diaz's stead. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:46 pm

  • Taking seat for series finale
Bailey is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Yankees.

Advice: Bailey will get a breather for the series finale after he started at catcher Friday and Saturday while going 2-for-7 with a walk. Curt Casali will step in behind the dish Sunday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:22 pm
  • Sitting against southpaw
Wells is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants.

Advice: Wells had started behind the plate while the Yankees faced right-handed starting pitchers in both of the past two games, but the lefty-hitting catcher will take a seat for the series finale while southpaw Blake Snell toes the rubber for the Giants. Jose Trevino will pick up the start at catcher. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:15 pm
