• Snaps long hitless stretch
Grisham went 1-for-3 with a home run and three RBI on Thursday in an 8-5 win over Minnesota.

Advice: Entering Thursday, Grisham hadn't notched a hit in over five weeks, going 0-for-19 across his previous 11 games. He snapped the brutal slump in fine fashion against the Twins, hitting a two-run homer in the second inning to give New York its first lead. Grisham added a sacrifice fly in the fifth, though he also added another strikeout to his season stat line. Despite Thursday's performance, it's been an atrocious first season in New York for Grisham -- he's slashing a paltry .071/.216/.214 with a career-worst 31.4 percent strikeout rate through 51 plate appearances. • Jarred Kelenic out Thursday due to wrist issue
Jarred Kelenic (wrist) is absent from the lineup for Thursday’s series opener against the Nationals.

Advice: Kelenic jammed his right wrist making a diving catch during the ninth inning of Wednesday’s showdown at Fenway Park and will sit out Thursday’s series opener against the Nationals for some extra rest. The 24-year-old corner outfielder underwent precautionary X-rays that came back negative for any fractures, so he’s unlikely to wind up missing more than a handful of games. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:41 pm

  • Eddie Rosario gets a day off on Thursday
Eddie Rosario is not in the Nationals’ lineup on Thursday against the Braves.

Advice: Rosario had started four of the last five games but will take a seat with Lane Thomas moving to right field and Joey Meneses entering the lineup at DH. Since Thomas has returned from the IL, Meneses and Rosario have shared playing time, with Rosario starting about two-thirds of the games. Meanwhile, Jacob Young has been playing almost every day in center field, which gives him some fantasy value with his speed. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:51 pm

  • Not starting Thursday
Rosario isn't in the Nationals' lineup for Thursday's game against Atlanta.

Advice: Although the Nationals will be matched up against right-hander Reynaldo Lopez on Thursday, Rosario will take a seat after going 4-for-19 with an RBI and two runs scored across his last five games. His absence will allow Jesse Winker to start in left field while Joey Meneses serves as Washington's designated hitter. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:46 pm

  • Held out Thursday
Kelenic (wrist) isn't in Atlanta's lineup for Thursday's game against the Nationals.

Advice: Kelenic made an early exit from Wednesday's contest after injuring his right wrist on a diving catch in the sixth inning. Initial X-rays came back clean immediately after the game, but Atlanta will err on the side of caution and keep him out for Thursday's series opener. Adam Duvall, Michael Harris and Brian Anderson will start across the outfield with Kelenic out. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:39 pm

  • Extends hit streak to four games
Friedl went 1-for-2 with a walk, a stolen base, a home run, two RBI and two additional runs scored in Wednesday's 12-7 win over Colorado. He was also hit by a pitch twice.

Advice: Friedl, who launched one of four Cincinnati home runs in the come-from-behind victory, appears to be getting his swing in shape. After missing a significant amount of time to start the season, he's hit safely in four consecutive games, going 5-for-15 with two home runs, six RBI and five runs. The hit-by-pitches could become a concern, as Friedl has been plunked five times (T-21st) in just 56 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:28 am
  • Joey Gallo plates lone run in loss to Mets
Joey Gallo went 1-for-2 and drove in the Nationals’ lone run in Wednesday afternoon’s loss to the Mets.

Advice: Gallo led off the sixth inning with a single but was quickly erased on a double play ball. He then drove in a run with a sacrifice fly off of Luis Severino in the eighth inning to finally get the Nats on the board. The 30-year-old slugger has been about as expected this season — hitting .164/.285/.336 with five homers, 11 RBI and a 65/19 K/BB ratio over 151 plate appearances. Rotoworld Wednesday, 4:38 pm

  • Sitting against lefty
Kirilloff isn't in the Twins' lineup Wednesday against the Yankees.

Advice: With left-hander Carlos Rodon set to take the mound for New York, Kirilloff will retreat into the dugout Wednesday. Willi Castro will move to right field as a result, allowing Kyle Farmer to start at second base while batting ninth. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 2:36 pm

  • Expected to be fine
Atlanta manager Brian Snitker said that Kelenic (wrist) is expected to be fine after being removed from Wednesday's 9-0 loss to the Red Sox, Justin Toscano of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. Kelenic went hitless in two at-bats before leaving the game.

Advice: Kelenic was lifted for a pinch hitter in the eighth inning after tweaking his right wrist on a diving catch earlier in the game. However, the outfielder tested out the strength of the wrist and also had X-rays after the contest, and everything checked out fine. Kelenic will be re-evaluated prior to Thursday's game against the Nationals, but he's not expected to miss any starts. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 1:28 pm
