    • On bench versus southpaw
Soderstrom is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game versus Colorado.

Advice: Soderstrom started the previous three games but will sit Wednesday as lefty Austin Gomber pitches for the Rockies. J.D. Davis will handle first base and bat fifth. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:00 pm

    • Hits bench against lefty
Raley is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Yankees.

Advice: The Mariners have been able to make room for both Raley and Dominic Canzone in the corner outfield lately by giving Mitch Haniger more time at designated hitter at the expense of Mitch Garver, but both Raley and Canzone will hit the bench Wednesday with southpaw Nestor Cortes on the bump for the Yankees. Raley owns an 1.118 OPS since the beginning of May and should continue to see regular playing time versus right-handed pitching while he's wielding a hot bat. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:07 pm

    • On bench against lefty
Rojas is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Yankees.

Advice: With lefty Nestor Cortes on the mound for the Yankees, the lefty-hitting Rojas will retreat to the bench after he had started in each of the Mariners' last eight games. Luis Urias will pick up a start at third base in Rojas' stead. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:01 pm

    • Triston McKenzie gives up three homers to Mets
Triston McKenzie gave up three runs — all of them on solo homers — over five innings Wednesday versus the Mets.

Advice: Pete Alonso, Jeff McNeil and Harrison Bader hit the homers. McKenzie averaged a season-low 89.7 mph with his fastball today, down from 91.0 previously and 92.4 mph before he hurt his elbow last year. It’s impressive that he has a 3.44 ERA to date, but he doesn’t seem like a very good bet at this point. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:55 pm
    • Shaky in no-decision
McKenzie did not factor into the decision Wednesday against the Mets, allowing three runs on five hits and three walks over five innings. He struck out five.

Advice: McKenzie didn't appear to have his best stuff Wednesday, as he'd allow three solo homers before departing with a 3-0 deficit in the sixth inning. However, the Guardians would rally for six unanswered runs in an eventual victory, sparing McKenzie the loss. Still, it's the first time in seven starts that McKenzie's allowed more than two earned runs -- he came into the day with a 2.10 ERA over his prior six outings. Overall, the 26-year-old right-hander sports a 3.44 ERA with a 1.34 WHIP and 45:31 K:BB over 10 starts (52.1 innings) this season. McKenzie's next start is currently lined up for early next week against the Rockies in Colorado. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:40 pm
    • Resting against lefty
Turang is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Marlins.

Advice: The lefty-hitting Turang finds himself on the bench for the third game in a row while the Marlins bring another southpaw (Jesus Luzardo) to the hill. Andruw Monasterio will fill in at second base for Turang. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:47 pm

    • Notches first steal Tuesday
Langeliers went 0-for-2 with two walks and a stolen base in a win over the Rockies on Tuesday.

Advice: The slugging backstop got it done a bit differently Tuesday, with Langeliers showing some solid plate discipline while recording his second multi-walk effort of the season, both which have come within the last week. Langeliers' steal was also his first of the campaign, and with the pair of free passes, he's now reached safely in six consecutive games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:56 am

    • Pops fourth homer Tuesday
Raley went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in a win over the Yankees on Tuesday.

Advice: The Mariners had their power stroke in solid form Tuesday, and Raley delivered one of four homers for Seattle on the night. The surging outfielder extended his hitting streak to eight games in the process, a stretch where he's left the yard on three occasions overall and has struck out at an atypically low 18.2 percent clip. • Getting breather for series finale
Perez is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Royals.

Advice: Unless the Tigers deploy him off the bench Wednesday, Perez will put his five-game hitting streak on hold in the series finale while he exits the starting nine for the first time since May 12. Matt Vierling will spell Perez in center field. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:30 am
