    • Salvages day with late homer
Burger went 1-for-4 with a solo home run during Sunday's 6-3 loss to the Guardians.

Advice: Burger went 0-for-3 with two strikeouts in his first three plate appearances Sunday, but flipped his production in the ninth inning with a solo homer off Emmanuel Clase. The long ball was his fifth of the year and just his second in 31 games. On the year, Burger owns a .597 OPS but is striking out at a 24.4 percent clip, which would be a career low if it holds. • Abrams has steal, three RBI in win over Braves
CJ Abrams went 1-for-5 with three RBI and a steal in a win over the Braves.

Advice: Abrams drove in all three runs on a double off Aaron Bummer in the fourth inning that broke the game wide open for the Nationals. He also had two hard-hit balls that both resulted in outs. The 23-year-old has had a rough go of it over the last month, going 28-for-136 (.206) since the calendar flipped to May with a 35:2 K:BB rate in 33 games. Abrams has a ton of talent with 10 home runs and 10 steals already on the season. He’s also still striking out just 21 percent of the time on the season, so strikeouts haven’t been a major issue. He has pulled the ball far less since April and hit the ball on the ground more often, so perhaps he needs to adjust to the way pitchers have adapted to his hot start. Rotoworld Today, 2:17 pm

    • Sitting with hamstring issue
Chapman is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rangers due to a hamstring cramp, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Advice: The 31-year-old felt the cramp during Saturday's contest and will receive Sunday off. Casey Schmitt will take over at third base for the Giants, while Chapman should be considered day-to-day heading into Monday's series opener versus the Astros. Rotowire.com Today, 9:17 am
    • Matt Chapman out Sunday due to hamstring cramp
Matt Chapman is not in the lineup Sunday against the Rangers to a hamstring cramp.

Advice: Giants manager Bob Melvin told reporters before Sunday’s game that the infielder felt his hamstring cramp on a diving attempt in the ninth inning. Melvin also believed that this is a short-term issue that won’t cause the third baseman to miss more than a game. Brett Wisely is getting the start at third in Chapman’s absence. • Matt Chapman not in lineup Sunday vs. Rangers
Matt Chapman is not in the starting lineup for Sunday’s contest against the Rangers.

Advice: Chapman picked up a hit in each of the first two games of the series against Texas, but will get a rare day of rest for the series finale. Brett Wisely is starting at third base and hitting seventh while Chapman is out. Rotoworld Today, 7:35 am
    • Taking seat Sunday
Bader is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Phillies.

Advice: Bader will begin Sunday's game in the dugout after going 0-for-3 with a walk in Saturday's 7-2 loss. Tyrone Taylor will start in center field and bat sixth against right-hander Taijuan Walker. Rotowire.com Today, 6:26 am

    • On bench Sunday
Marte is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Phillies.

Advice: Marte was scratched from Wednesday's lineup against the Nationals due to a right knee issue, but the 35-year-old outfielder was able to make the trip to London. He started in Saturday's 7-2 loss, going 2-for-4 with an RBI double in the first inning. With Marte beginning Sunday's game in the dugout, the lefty-hitting DJ Stewart will start in right field and bat fifth against Phillies right-hander Taijuan Walker. • Enjoys massive day at dish
Hernandez went 2-for-4 with a pair of home runs, a walk, six RBI and a stolen base in Saturday's 11-3 rout of the Yankees.

Advice: Hernandez got the scoring started Saturday with a solo shot to center field in the second inning. He added an RBI on a fielder's choice in the sixth before busting the game open for Los Angeles with a 424-foot grand slam in the eighth. Hernandez went just 2-for-16 over his first four games in June, but he's turned scorching hot since, going 7-for-13 with two homers and nine RBI across his past three contests. Hernandez is putting up big numbers in his first campaign with the Dodgers, slashing .262/.331/.500 with 15 homers, 47 RBI, 38 runs and four steals through 278 plate appearances. • Ha-Seong Kim swats three-run homer in blowout
Ha-Seong Kim hit a three-run homer in a blowout win for the Padres on Saturday over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Kim also walked. The shortstop’s three-run blast extended San Diego’s lead to 4-0 and gave Kim nine on the 2024 campaign. Kim has provided some power/speed over the first two-plus months of the season, and it’s helped made up for a batting average of just .224. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:09 pm
