    • Goes deep in loss
Bryant went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run and a walk in Tuesday's 13-7 loss to the Guardians.

Advice: Bryant has gone 6-for-28 (.214) over eight games since he returned from a back injury. His homer Tuesday was his first extra-base hit in that span. The 32-year-old is slashing a meager .173/.303/.280 with two homers, nine RBI, four runs scored and two doubles over 21 contests this season. For now, it looks like Bryant and Elehuris Montero will share first base and designated hitter. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:31 pm

    • Pavin Smith doubles, drives in one in loss
Pavin Smith went 1-for-2 with a double and an RBI in Tuesday’s loss to the Rangers.

Advice: Smith doubled off Nathan Eovaldi in the second inning to drive in Christian Walker and give the Diamondbacks an early 1-0 lead. Smith has now tallied four hits in his last 13 at-bats and is well off the fantasy radar at this time. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:26 pm

    • Sitting versus southpaw
Gallo is absent from the lineup for Tuesday's game in Atlanta.

Advice: Gallo had started 10 straight games since returning from the injured list, but he will begin Tuesday's game on the bench as Atlanta goes with Max Fried as its starting pitcher. Joey Meneses will cover first base. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:05 pm

    • Potential for playing time
Montero went 1-for-3 with two RBI, a run scored and a walk in Monday's 8-6 win over the Guardians.

Advice: Montero had been limited to a short-side platoon role since the return of Kris Bryant from the injured list, but he's started both of Colorado's games since Jordan Beck (hand) landed on the shelf. Beck's absence allows the Rockies to play Charlie Blackmon in right field and shift Kris Bryant to designated hitter, opening first base for Montero. However, Jake Cave and Hunter Goodman also remain options for the Rockies in right field, so consistent plate appearances are far from assured for Montero. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:22 am

    • Slugs first homer
Solano went 1-for-2 with a solo home run in Monday's 2-1 win over Miami.

Advice: Solano came into the contest having gone 2-for-13 over his previous seven contests, but he broke the slump with a second-inning solo homer for the game's first run. The long ball was his first as a member of the Padres after joining the organization on a minor-league deal in mid-April. Solano has never been much of a power hitter, but he's consistently demonstrated good contact skills and is slashing .321/.441/.464 in limited opportunities this season. Rotowire.com Monday, 10:17 pm

    • Sitting vs. southpaw
Cave is out of the starting lineup for Sunday's series finale against the Phillies.

Advice: The lefty-hitting Cave will begin Sunday's contest in the dugout as Philadelphia sends out left-hander Ranger Suarez. Hunter Goodman will start in right field in Cave's stead and will bat ninth. Rotowire.com Sunday, 10:41 am

    • Idle against lefty
Tellez is out of the lineup for Sunday's matchup against Atlanta.

Advice: With Atlanta bringing southpaw Chris Sale to the mound, the lefty-hitting Tellez will retreat to the bench. Even with the Pirates recently optioning another key left-handed bat in Jack Suwinski to the minors, Tellez doesn't look as though he'll necessarily be locked into a regular role against right-handed pitching, either. He was held out of the starting nine for Saturday's 4-1 win while righty Reynaldo Lopez started for Atlanta. Rotowire.com Sunday, 8:58 am

    • Mike Ford out Sunday against Dodgers
Mike Ford is not in the starting lineup for Sunday’s game against the Dodgers.

Advice: Ford will not get the start even with right-hander Yoshinobu Yamamoto on the bump for the Dodgers. Nick Martini is the designated hitter and hitting sixth while Ford is on the bench. Rotoworld Sunday, 7:25 am

    • Out of lineup Sunday
Ford is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Dodgers.

Advice: Ford will take a seat for the second time in the series while he's fallen into the midst of a slump at the plate. In his last five games, the 31-year-old has gone 2-for-19 and is slashing just .153/.180/.237 on the season. Rotowire.com Sunday, 7:21 am
