    • Chris Taylor playing third base against Mets
Chris Taylor is starting at third base and hitting seventh for the first game of a doubleheader against the Mets on Tuesday.

Advice: Taylor is starting at the hot corner for the first time in 2024. The 33-year-old veteran has been atrocious so far in 2024 with a .101 average and .338 OPS over the first third of the campaign. Enrique Hernandez takes a seat for the first game of the twin-billing. • Potential for playing time
Montero went 1-for-3 with two RBI, a run scored and a walk in Monday's 8-6 win over the Guardians.

Advice: Montero had been limited to a short-side platoon role since the return of Kris Bryant from the injured list, but he's started both of Colorado's games since Jordan Beck (hand) landed on the shelf. Beck's absence allows the Rockies to play Charlie Blackmon in right field and shift Kris Bryant to designated hitter, opening first base for Montero. However, Jake Cave and Hunter Goodman also remain options for the Rockies in right field, so consistent plate appearances are far from assured for Montero. Rotowire.com Today, 7:22 am

    • Slugs first homer
Solano went 1-for-2 with a solo home run in Monday's 2-1 win over Miami.

Advice: Solano came into the contest having gone 2-for-13 over his previous seven contests, but he broke the slump with a second-inning solo homer for the game's first run. The long ball was his first as a member of the Padres after joining the organization on a minor-league deal in mid-April. Solano has never been much of a power hitter, but he's consistently demonstrated good contact skills and is slashing .321/.441/.464 in limited opportunities this season. • Vidal Bruján out of Monday’s lineup versus Padres
After going 0-for-3 in an increasingly rare start Sunday, Vidal Bruján is out of the lineup for Monday’s game.

Advice: Bruján was the Marlins’ primary second baseman before Tim Anderson got hurt, at which point he switched over to shortstop and Otto López took over at second. Unfortunately for Bruján, López got hot, and now Bruján has lost his spot with Anderson back, even though Anderson is running neck and neck with Andrew Benintendi for the title of baseball’s worst player. So, Bruján, one of the Marlins’ best players to date even if that’s not saying much, has been out of the lineup five times in the last six games. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:20 pm

    • Back in majors
Milwaukee recalled Dunn from Triple-A Nashville on Sunday. He'll start at third base and bat eighth in Sunday's game against the Red Sox.

Advice: After being optioned to Nashville earlier in May, the 26-year-old infielder earned his way back to the majors after slashing .310/.394/.517 across eight games at Triple-A. Though he'll get the starting nod Sunday in his return to the big club, Dunn is still expected to play second fiddle to Joey Ortiz at third base and will likely function as more of a utility man. • Oliver Dunn brought up from Triple-A Nashville
Brewers recalled INF Oliver Dunn from Triple-A Nashville.

Advice: Dunn is back from Nashville with Joey Wiemer heading down to Triple-A in the corresponding move. He’ll get the start at third base and hit eighth against the Red Sox on Sunday. Dunn hit .226/.278/.333 in his first stint in the majors, but he did show some flashes in the early portion of the campaign. That being said, he’s not worth a fantasy roster spot right now. • Steps in at third
Espinal started at third base and went 1-for-3 in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Dodgers.

Advice: Espinal was a late addition to the lineup after Jeimer Candelario (neck) was scratched. The utility infielder is getting a relevant amount of plate appearances due to injuries and a player suspension. While his .195 average isn't attractive, Espinal has hit with regularity of late, going 9-for-33 (.273) with a double, a home run, three RBI, four walks, two steals and four runs scored over the last 11 games. • Goes yard in Saturday's loss
Baty went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run in Saturday's 7-2 extra-inning loss to the Giants.

Advice: Getting the start at third base and batting eighth, Baty put the Mets ahead 2-1 by taking Sean Hjelle deep in the seventh inning, but Edwin Diaz and the bullpen melted down once again. Baty snapped a 14-game homer drought with the blast, a stretch in which he's stumbled to a .122/.182/.146 slash line with a 42.2 percent strikeout rate while seeing Mark Vientos move past him on the depth chart at third base. While Baty's long ball was encouraging, he also struck out twice more Saturday. Until he solves his contact issues, he'll have a hard time reclaiming the starting job at the hot corner. • Brett Baty goes yard for forth homer against Giants
Brett Baty went 1-for-3 with a solo homer and a walk against the Giants on Saturday.

Advice: Baty had struck out twice leading up to his at-bat in the seventh inning. With the game tied at one run, he put the Mets ahead with a solo blast off Sean Hjelle for his fourth homer of the season. The 24-year-old third baseman is slashing .229/.299/.336 with 15 runs scored and 16 RBI across 155 plate appearances. Rotoworld Saturday, 1:57 pm
