    • Joey Meneses has three hits in loss to Braves
Joey Meneses went 3-for-3 in a loss to the Braves on Tuesday.

Advice: All three of Meneses’ hits were singles, but the 32-year-old is now 10-for-32 (.313) over his last eight games with a home run and three RBI. However, he was also on the bench on Monday against a right-handed pitcher with Lane Thomas back off the injured list, so it’s possible Menses is entering into a weak-side platoon situation that would destroy his fantasy value. Keep an eye on the next few Nationals’ lineups just to make sure. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:06 pm
    • Joey Meneses heads to bench with Lane Thomas back
Joey Meneses is not in the starting lineup on Monday against the Braves.

Advice: It may just be a routine day off for Meneses, who has started seven straight games. However, it’s also the first game in a month with Lane Thomas back in the lineup, so perhaps there’s something to take note of here. With Thomas back in the lineup against a right-handed pitcher, Eddie Rosario moves to left field and Jesse Winker will DH, which means there’s no room for Meneses. The 32-year-old has hit better than Winker of late so that figures to be the main position battle to watch in the coming days. Rotoworld Monday, 11:23 am
    • Puts game out of reach
Harper went 2-for-5 with a home run and four RBI in Saturday's 8-4 win over the Rockies.

Advice: Harper hit an RBI single in the first inning and added a three-run homer in the ninth that gave the Phillies all the offense they needed in the win. He's hit safely in 10 of his last 12 games, going 16-for-46 (.348) with four homers and 12 RBI in that span. For the season, the 31-year-old is up to a .282/.389/.554 slash line with 13 homers, 41 RBI, 32 runs scored, three stolen bases and nine doubles over 48 contests. Rotowire.com Saturday, 10:07 pm
    • Harper blasts 13th home run Saturday
Bryce Harper went 2-for-5 with a home run and four RBI against the Rockies on Saturday.

Advice: The Phillies trailed by a run entering the ninth inning and exploded with five runs. The big blow was a two-out three-run home run to the opposite field by Harper. It was his 13th home run of the season and he’s now up to 41 RBI.

    • Bryce Harper ejected for arguing balls and strikes
Bryce Harper was ejected from Friday’s game against the Rockies in the first inning after arguing balls and strikes.

Advice: Harper went down swinging on three pitches in his first at-bat against Ty Blach and took exception to the second pitch that was called a strike. He’ll catch the rest of Friday’s game from the clubhouse. Rotoworld Friday, 5:52 pm
    • Might lose roster spot
Meneses could be optioned to Triple-A Rochester when Lane Thomas (knee) is ready to come off the injured list, Mark Zuckerman of MASN Sports reports.

Advice: The 32-year-old has been an everyday player for the Nationals this season between first base and DH, but he's managed just a .234/.299/.299 slash line in 43 games with two homers and 24 RBI. Victor Robles is the more likely candidate to get booted from the 26-man roster to make room for Thomas, but Robles is out of minor-league options and would have to be exposed to waivers, while Meneses could be optioned to Triple-A without any risk of losing him. Jesse Winker would likely become the primary DH in that scenario. Rotowire.com Friday, 8:05 am
    • Homers Wednesday
Meneses went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 3-2 loss to Minnesota.

Advice: Meneses made things interesting in the ninth inning Wednesday, launching a solo shot off Jhoan Duran to lead off the frame. The 32-year-old Meneses had gotten off to a slow start this year, though he's now 6-for-17 with a pair of extra-base hits in his last three contests. Overall, he's slashing .234/.299/.299 with two homers, 24 RBI and nine runs scored through 43 games on the campaign. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 2:35 pm
    • Joey Meneses goes 2-for-4, homers in ninth
Joey Meneses went 2-for-4 and homered against the Twins on Wednesday.

Advice: The homer brought the Nationals to within one run against Jhoan Durán in the ninth. Meneses wound up 5-for-12 with a couple of extra-base hits in the series against the Twins. That probably doesn’t quite rate as a hot streak just yet, but his current .598 OPS puts him at his high mark since late April. Rotoworld Wednesday, 1:36 pm
    • Homers Tuesday
Harper went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a double and an additional run scored in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Rangers.

Advice: Harper led off the fourth inning with a double before coming around to score on an Alec Bohm single, giving the Phillies a 2-1 lead. Harper would then extend the lead to 3-1 in the fourth with a 422-foot solo blast off Jacob Latz, his 11th long ball of the year. After a sluggish start to the year, the 31-year-old Harper has been on fire in May, batting .359 with five home runs, 18 RBI and a 1.111 OPS in 17 games. He's boosted his slash line to .280/.388/.537 through 196 plate appearances this season. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 7:28 pm
