    • Nabs fifth steal
Abrams went 1-for-4 with a run scored and a stolen base in Thursday's loss to the Dodgers.

Advice: The 23-year-old shortstop saw a nine-game hitting streak end on Wednesday, but he wasted no time getting going again. Over his last 14 contests since returning from a minor finger injury, Abrams is slashing .293/.349/.638 with four of his six homers and two of his five steals on the season. • Three hits, two RBI in win
Hoskins went 3-for-5 in Thursday's win over the Pirates with a double, two RBI and a stolen base.

Advice: Hoskins singled home William Contreras in his second at-bat to tie the game at 3-3 and later added an RBI double to give Milwaukee a one-run lead. The first baseman has recorded at least one RBI in four of his last six games, while Thursday marked his second three-hit effort of the season. With that said, he's still batting just .219 (16-for-73) in April with four homers and 13 RBI. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:08 am

    • Fans seven in no-decision
Keller allowed four runs on six hits and two walks over five frames in a no-decision against the Brewers on Thursday while striking out seven.

Advice: Keller got off to a rocky start, surrendering a solo home run to William Contreras in the second at-bat of the game. Back-to-back walks to open the frame and some shaky defense behind him then led to two more runs in the third. The right-hander failed to make it through six innings for the first time in his last four starts while allowing four earned runs for the fourth time this season. On a positive note, Keller did record his second-highest strikeout total of the campaign with seven. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:51 am

    • Fires seven frames in loss
Cortes (1-2) took the loss against Oakland on Thursday, allowing three runs on five hits and no walks while striking out four batters over seven innings.

Advice: Cortes tossed a quality start for the third time in his past four outings, though he has added just one win to his ledger over that span. All of the runs the left-hander gave up Thursday came in the third inning via a pair of long balls. Despite notching just one victory across six appearances, Cortes has done pretty well so far this season, posting a 3.50 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 32:5 K:BB over 36 innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:03 am

    • Perfect for save No. 3
Munoz pitched a perfect ninth inning Thursday against the Rangers to earn a save.

Advice: Munoz picked up his first save since April 6, making quick work of Wyatt Langford, Travis Jankowski and Jonah Heim to close out the Mariners' win. He's now 3-for-4 in save chances this season, and Thursday's outing could give him more leeway with Ryne Stanek breathing down his back for save chances. Rotowire.com Thursday, 10:45 pm

    • Another strong start
Castill0 (2-4) picked up the win Thursday, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks over six innings against the Rangers. He struck out six.

Advice: Castillo had issues keeping the ball inside the park Thursday, allowing solo home runs to Nathaniel Lowe and Josh Smith in the first and fourth innings, respectively. He's now allowed a long ball in four of his six outings this season but has churned out three straight quality starts. During that stretch, Castillo owns a 1.89 ERA and a 24:3 K:BB across 19 innings. • Nestor Cortes completes seven frames against A’s
Nestor Cortes was charged with three runs over seven innings on Thursday in a loss to the Dodgers.

Advice: Cortes gave up third-inning homers to Nick Allen and Tyler Nevin, which accounted for all of the damage against him in this one, but didn’t get any run support from New York’s offense. The 29-year-old lefty will bring a serviceable 3.50 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 32/5 K/BB ratio across 36 innings (six starts) into a road tilt on Tuesday against the Orioles. Rotoworld Thursday, 6:38 pm

    • Heating up at plate
Devers went 3-for-5 with a run scored in Thursday's 6-4 loss to Cleveland.

Advice: Devers produced a second consecutive three-hit effort after missing five games with a knee injury. He's gone 6-for-9 with a double, home run, two RBI and two runs scored in his two games back. The downtime appears to have given the balky shoulder he was dealing with during Boston's homestand last week time to heal, but Devers has yet to resume playing third base. According to Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe, manager Alex Cora said prior to Thursday's game that Devers is likely to remain the Red Sox's designated hitter through Friday before potentially returning to action at third base Saturday versus the Cubs. • Homers in loss
Smith started at shortstop and went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Thursday's 4-3 loss to Seattle.

Advice: Smith launched his first homer of the season in the fourth inning, which tied the game momentarily before the Mariners plated two a half-inning later. He got the start at shortstop while primary starter Corey Seager served as DH a day after he left a game with a bruised shin. If Seager is limited to DH for a bit, Smith will be the primary fill-in at short. If Seager is ready for a defensive role, then Smith will go back to sharing third base with Ezequiel Duran. Smith is batting .292/.393/.417 over 84 plate appearances, much better than his previous two MLB seasons. Rotowire.com Thursday, 5:59 pm
