    • Brady Singer fans six in tough-luck no-decision
Brady Singer was terrific in a tough-luck no-decision against the Tigers on Saturday night, racking up six strikeouts over five innings of one-run baseball.

Advice: The 27-year-old hurler scattered four hits and three walks on the night. The lone tally against him came on an RBI triple off the bat of Zach McKinstry in the second inning. Singer generated eight swings and misses on 93 pitches on the night — six on his slider — while registering a CSW of 34 percent. He now boasts a 2.62 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and a 34/13 K/BB ratio over 34 1/3 innings through his first six starts. He’ll do battle against the Rangers his next time out on Friday. • Four hits in return to lineup
Yoshida went 4-for-5 with an RBI and three runs scored in Saturday's victory over the Cubs.

Advice: Yoshida did not start the previous five games, as the Red Sox utilized Rafael Devers and Tyler O'Neill at designated hitter as they returned from injuries. He did his best to make up for lost time Saturday, doubling in a run while also adding three singles. While he has been used very little this week, the expectation is that Yoshida will remain the team's primary DH moving forward. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:57 pm
    • Notches eighth save
Phillips gave up an unearned run on one hit and struck out two Saturday to record his eighth save of the season in a 4-2 win over the Blue Jays.

Advice: The closer's own throwing error with two outs put Davis Schneider aboard and led to Toronto's final run, but Phillips otherwise had little trouble sealing the victory. The right-hander is a perfect 8-for-8 in converting save chances to begin the season, and he's delivered a dazzling 0.77 ERA and 15:4 K:BB through 11.2 innings. • Evan Phillips notches eighth save on Saturday
Evan Phillips allowed one run with two strikeouts in the ninth inning against the Blue Jays on Saturday to earn the save.

Advice: Phillips was summoned with a three-run lead in the ninth against Toronto. He quickly struck out the first two batters, but put a runner on with a throwing error. A base hit would bring in a run to make it a two-run game, but Phillips would hold on to record the final out and his eighth save of the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:03 pm

    • Resting against lefty
Turang isn't in the Brewers' lineup Saturday against the Yankees.

Advice: Turang will sit down to begin the game as left-hander Carlos Rodon prepares to start on the mound for New York. Joey Ortiz will slide over to second base as a result, allowing Owen Miller to pick up a start at the hot corner and bat seventh. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:25 pm

    • Returns to lineup
Fraley (illness) is starting in right field Saturday against the Rangers.

Advice: Fraley has missed the Reds' last six games due to an illness, though he was available off the bench Friday. The 28-year-old outfielder has been a key part of Cincinnati's offense this season, slashing .362/.423/.511 across 52 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:24 am

    • Jake Fraley returns to lineup Saturday vs. Rangers
Jake Fraley (illness) has returned to the lineup for Saturday’s game against the Rangers.

Advice: Fraley is back in right field and batting fifth on Saturday following a six-game absence due to illness. The 28-year-old outfielder hasn’t gotten into a game since April 20. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:35 am

    • Masataka Yoshida back in lineup Saturday vs. Cubs
Masataka Yoshida is back in the lineup for Saturday’s showdown against the Cubs.

Advice: Yoshida is back in Boston’s starting lineup for the first time in five contests since last weekend. The 30-year-old slugger holds a .660 OPS with two homers through 22 games this season and has ceded playing time at designated hitter lately due to Rafael Devers’ ongoing physical issues. • Back in starting lineup
Yoshida will start at designated hitter and bat sixth in Saturday's game against the Cubs, Rob Bradford of WEEI.com reports.

Advice: Yoshida was not in Boston's starting lineup over the last five games, though he did appear in two contests as a pinch hitter. His absence over the last three games coincided with Rafael Devers starting at DH after missing time due to a left bone bruise, and the Red Sox appear reluctant to start Yoshida in the outfield early in the season. Devers will shift to third base for Saturday's game, while Yoshida resumes his role as the designated hitter against Cubs right-hander Ben Brown. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:44 am
