    • Leads offense in loss
Kelly went 2-for-3 with an RBI in Monday's 8-1 loss to the Phillies.

Advice: Detroit sputtered on the mound and at the plate, but Kelly still had a solid performance. The backstop was making his first appearance in three days, pushing Jake Rogers to the bench in the process. Kelly and Rogers are splitting time behind the plate fairly evenly so far this season, though Kelly has been the better offensive option overall with a .711 OPS, compared to just .603 for Rogers. The latter has the slight edge in home runs, however, five to four. Rotowire.com Today, 8:09 pm

    • Launches 13th homer
Raleigh went 1-for-2 with a solo home run, a stolen base and two walks in Monday's loss to Tampa Bay.

Advice: Raleigh slugged his 13th home run of the season, his first since June 10. The 27-year-old has batted just .178 over the past two weeks, but he has added two home runs, three doubles, two stolen bases and 11 RBI during that span. Rotowire.com Today, 8:01 pm

    • Cal Raleigh homers, steals base in loss to Rays
Cal Raleigh belted a solo homer and also stole a base on Monday in the Mariners’ loss to the Rays.

Advice: The aptly named “Big Dumper” isn’t exactly known for his stolen base prowess, but he’s flashes strong instincts on the bases throughout his career, and is now up to three thefts on the year. He connected for a fourth-inning solo shot off Rays starter Taj Bradley for his 13th long ball of the year. It was the first time he’s left the yard since June 10, snapping a 12-game homerless drought in the process. Rotoworld Today, 7:42 pm

    • Elly De La Cruz hits 14th homer, Reds rout Pirates
Elly De La Cruz went 3-for-5 with a two-run homer and three RBI on Monday, leading the Reds to an 11-5 blowout victory over the Pirates.

Advice: De La Cruz served as Cincinnati’s primary offensive catalyst on Monday night at Great American Ball Park with a three-hit performance that included a pair of batted balls with exit velocities over 110 mph, including an impressive 439-foot moonshot -- his 14th round-tripper of the season -- off Pirates reliever Daulton Jefferies in the sixth inning. He also scalded a 110-mph double to right field off Pittsburgh starter Bailey Falter, which brought home a run earlier in the contest. The 22-year-old fantasy superstar has seemingly caught fire again over the last few days, batting .379 (11-for-29) with two homers and one steal over his last seven games. He’s up to 14 homers and 37 steals already, which puts him on pace for a potential 30-homer, 70 steals campaign, if he keeps this going. Unreal. Rotoworld Today, 7:20 pm

    • Oneil Cruz homers, drives in three in losing effort
Oneil Cruz went 2-for-5 with a two-run homer and three RBI on Monday in the Pirates’ lopsided defeat at the hands of the Reds.

Advice: Cruz was one of the few bright spots for Pittsburgh in this one as he drove in a run with a fifth-inning ground out before slugging a gargantuan 458-foot moonshot — his 11th big fly of the season — a couple frames later off Reds reliever Fernando Cruz. The 25-year-old shortstop has been scuffling at the dish in recent weeks, batting .216 (25-for-116) with four homers and three steals over his last 30 games. He’s also struck out a whopping 40 times during that span. The flashes of dynamic game-changing talent are still there on occasion, but Cruz remains a bit of a work in progress at the moment. • Orlando Arcia leaves game due to dizziness

Advice: Zach Short replaced Arcia at shortstop. Consider Arcia day-to-day. Rotoworld Today, 6:33 pm

    • Exits due to dizziness
Arcia left Monday's game against the Cardinals after experiencing dizziness.

Advice: The club notes that Arcia's removal from the matchup was only precautionary, and he's likely headed for further testing. The starting shortstop will be considered day-to-day until more information comes to light. Rotowire.com Today, 6:27 pm

    • Plays catch from 90 feet
Ohtani (elbow) played catch from 90 feet Monday, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

Advice: It's the first time he's thrown from that distance since last September's Tommy John surgery. Ohtani continues to progress in his rehab with no issues, and he has certainly shown no ill effects at the plate as a result of the recovery. The Dodgers haven't ruled out the possibility of Ohtani playing the outfield at some point in 2024, although that still seems like a long shot. He will continue to serve as the club's designated hitter, with an eye on resuming two-way duties in 2025. Rotowire.com Today, 4:12 pm

    • Stress reaction sends Fernando Tatis Jr. to IL
Padres placed OF Fernando Tatis Jr. on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to June 22, with a right femoral stress reaction.

Advice: That’s better than a stress fracture, but it’s not great. The Padres will likely go to Bryce Johnson in right field most days, but he’s not going to replace Tatis’s production. Tatis was hitting .279/.354/.468 with 14 homers in 345 plate appearances. Rotoworld Today, 3:54 pm
