    • Records two hits, stolen base
Keith went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored in Saturday's 8-2 win over the Astros. He also stole a base.

Advice: Keith didn't start Friday with Houston deploying lefty Framber Valdez, but the second baseman returned Saturday and extended his hitting streak to three games. It's a small bit of progress for Keith, as the 22-year-old rookie is batting just .174 for the season. Expect the Tigers to remain patient with Keith, however, and give the talented youngster plenty of chances to settle in at the MLB level. Rotowire.com 6 minutes ago

    • Homer, double in win
Freeman went 2-for-3 with a double and a solo home run in Saturday's win over the Padres while also drawing a walk.

Advice: Freeman kicked things off for the Dodgers with a solo shot off Matt Waldron in the top of the first, giving the first baseman his fourth home run of the season. The veteran infielder would reach three times on the night after also doubling and drawing a walk, raising his average to .333 in the month of May. Freeman has now hit safely in five straight games and in 17 of his last 19 contests overall. Rotowire.com 7 minutes ago
    • Two hits, RBI in loss
Gurriel went 2-for-5 with a double and an RBI in Saturday's 5-4 extra-innings loss to the Orioles.

Advice: Gurriel singled in the Diamondbacks' final run in the fifth inning. An earlier double extended a hit streak to four games (6-for-18). The modest hit streak is a welcome sign for Gurriel, who endured a 2-for-37 (.054) slump over the nine previous games. Rotowire.com 10 minutes ago
    • Tallies first three hits Saturday
Mastrobuoni went 3-for-4 with a walk, a double, an RBI and two runs scored in Saturday's 10-9 loss to the Pirates.

Advice: Mastrobuoni was productive from the No. 8 spot in the lineup and he recorded his first three hits of the season, as he came into the contest 0-for-14 across 10 games so far. The 28-year-old has bounced between Triple-A and the majors and serves in a utility role when he's with the Cubs, so he doesn't see a ton of regular playing time, which makes Saturday's performance a pleasant surprise. • Charged with blown save
Ginkel allowed one run on one hit over one inning and was charged with a blown save in Saturday's 5-4 extra-innings loss to the Orioles.

Advice: With the Diamondbacks ahead, 4-3, Ginkel entered to start the eighth inning and dispatched the first two batters with ease before Anthony Santander squared up a fastball outside the zone for a game-tying home run. It was the third blown save of the season for Ginkel, who was moved back to a setup role when Paul Sewald was activated off the injured list last week. Ginkel has a 3.31 ERA and 1.16 WHIP with four walks and 15 strikeouts over 16.1 innings. Rotowire.com 18 minutes ago
    • Hit with tough loss
Waldron (1-5) was tagged with the loss against the Dodgers on Saturday, allowing two runs on two hits and two walks over 5.1 innings while striking out six.

Advice: Waldron coughed up a solo home run to Freddie Freeman in the top of the first and was later charged with another run in the sixth after having to be relieved by Adrian Morejon with one out in the frame. The right-hander threw only 11 of 20 first pitches for strikes and produced just two 1-2-3 innings in the contest en route to taking his third consecutive loss. Waldron has now allowed a home run in each of his last five starts, going 1-4 over that stretch with a 19:9 K:BB. Rotowire.com 19 minutes ago
    • Records first steal in return
Suzuki went 2-for-5 with a walk, an RBI and a run scored in Saturday's 10-9 loss to the Pirates. He also stole a base.

Advice: Suzuki had been out since April 14 due to an oblique injury before getting activated Friday, though he didn't play in that game. He wasted no time getting his bat going and recorded his first stolen base of the season in the process, so he appears to be fully healthy. The outfielder is now batting a robust .313 to go with an .894 OPS, and he should continue to slot into a prominent spot in Chicago's lineup. Rotowire.com 20 minutes ago
    • Hurls six shutout innings in win
Paxton (5-0) earned the win over the Padres on Saturday, pitching six shutout innings while allowing four hits and striking out four.

Advice: Paxton never found himself in any serious trouble throughout the contest, allowing only one extra-base hit as the Dodgers cruised to a shutout win. The veteran lefty threw 15 of 22 first pitches for strikes and produced 10 whiffs on the night en route to earning his fifth win of the campaign. Paxton has allowed one run or fewer in back-to-back starts and in four of his seven outings this season. Saturday also marked his first start this season in which he didn't issue a walk. • Goes deep in loss
Hoerner went 1-for-3 with a walk, a solo home run, an additional run scored and two total RBI in Saturday's 10-9 loss to the Pirates.

Advice: Hoerner took rookie Paul Skenes deep in the fourth inning for just his second long ball of the season. He drove in another run an inning later when he walked with the bases loaded. The low power output isn't too surprising, as Hoerner had only nine home runs last year and just 10 in 2022. The shortstop has still been productive in May with a .300 batting average and .941 OPS for the month along with both homers and three stolen bases. Rotowire.com 28 minutes ago
