    • Rests against lefty
Julien is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Angels.

Advice: The lefty-hitting Julien will retreat to the bench with southpaw Reid Detmers on the hill for the Angels. Kyle Farmer will step in for Julien at second base. Rotowire.com 18 minutes ago
    • Gets day off
Encarnacion-Strand is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rangers.

Advice: Encarnacion-Strand will head to the bench in what looks to be a routine maintenance day after he had started in each of the Reds' last eight games. Spencer Steer will get a day out of the outfield and fill in at first base for Encarnacion-Strand, who has seen his season-long batting average dip below the Mendoza Line (.196) while going 1-for-14 with five strikeouts over his last four starts. • Christian Encarnacion-Strand not in lineup Sunday
Christian Encarnacion-Strand is not in the lineup for Sunday’s contest against the Rangers.

Advice: Encarnacion-Strand has gone just 1-for-14 over his last four games, and Cincinnati will have the 24-year-old take a day off for the series finale against the Rangers. Spencer Steer is the starting first baseman with Nick Martini the designated hitter. Tyler Stephenson also gets the day off with Luke Maile behind the plate. Rotoworld Today, 9:50 am
    • Career-high 12 strikeouts
Kirby (3-2) earned the win over the Diamondbacks on Saturday, hurling seven shutout innings while allowing two hits and two walks. He struck out 12.

Advice: Kirby wasn't playing around Saturday, fanning six of the first eight batters he faced en route to recording a career-high 12 strikeouts on the night. The right-hander has now hurled 12 shutout innings over his last two starts while Saturday also marked the second time this season in which he's allowed only two hits. Kirby carries a 30:2 K:BB through five starts this month and has won his last two decisions. Rotowire.com Today, 7:01 am

    • Allows just one run in win
Rodon (2-1) earned the win Saturday against the Brewers after he struck out eight and allowed one run on two hits and a walk over six innings.

Advice: The left-hander delivered seven scoreless frames in his previous start and followed up Saturday with a season-high eight strikeouts in Milwaukee, with the lone blemish against him being a solo homer from Rhys Hoskins in the opening frame. Rodon surrendered 15 long balls in 14 starts last season but has a 0.8 HR/9 through six outings in 2024. It's been an encouraging start to the campaign with a 2.48 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 30:14 K:BB across 32.2 innings. Rotowire.com Today, 6:18 am
    • George Kirby strikes out career-high 12 vs. D-backs
George Kirby recorded a career-high 12 strikeouts over seven shutout innings on Saturday in a win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Kirby authored arguably the most dominant performance of his career in this one, generating an eye-popping 23 swinging strikes -- including a staggering 18 whiffs on his four-seam fastball alone -- and finished with an elite 39 percent CSW. His fastball velocity was up 1.2 mph in this one from earlier this year to 96.4 mph and he gave up only three batted balls with an exit velocity over 91 mph over seven nearly-flawless frames. The 26-year-old righty has clearly shaken off a couple rough outings to open the year and has allowed just two runs over 18 innings in his last three starts since April 15. He’ll carry a respectable 4.18 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 38/4 K/BB ratio across 32 2/3 innings (six starts) into a challenging road tilt on Friday against the division-rival Astros. • Carlos Rodón’fans eight over six strong vs. MIL
Carlos Rodón gave up just one run while striking out eight in six innings of work while getting a win over the Brewers on Saturday.

Advice: We don’t have rooting interests, but it’s been refreshing to see Rodón look so effective over his past few starts. He allowed just two hits with one walk, and that makes 13 innings of one-run baseball over those last two outings. The injury concerns with Rodón are very real and consistency has not been his friend, but the 31-year-old absolutely has the stuff to be a dominant fantasy option. He’ll look to keep it going Thursday in a tough matchup with Baltimore. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:13 pm
    • Kyle Tucker goes deep as Astros top Rockies
Kyle Tucker smacked his sixth home run of the season on Saturday night as the Astros topped the Rockies in Mexico City.

Advice: Tucker went back-to-back with teammate Yordan Alvarez in the third inning, with Tucker’s 409-foot (97.4 mph EV) solo shot off of Cal Quantrill increasing the Astros’ lead to 4-2. He also singled, walked and scored a total of three runs in the ballgame, finishing the night 2-for-4. He’s having another terrific all-around season at the plate, slashing a robust .291/.402/.534 with six long balls, 18 RBI and five stolen bases through his first 27 games. • Big day in rout
Henderson went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run, a second run scored and a stolen base in Saturday's 7-0 win over the A's.

Advice: The 22-year-old shortstop capped the scoring on the afternoon by taking JP Sears deep in the seventh inning. The long ball was Henderson's third in the last four games, continuing a blistering stretch that has seen him rack up eight multi-hit performances in his last 12 contests while batting .408 (20-for-49). The surge has boosted Henderson's slash line on the season to .302/.361/.642 with nine homers, six steals, 22 RBI and 23 runs in 106 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:41 pm
