    • Set to return Saturday
Javier (neck) will rejoin the Astros' rotation Saturday in Detroit, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Javier will have gone nearly a month in between starts for the Astros when he toes the rubber Saturday, having been sidelined with a neck problem. He's ready to roll now, though, following one rehab start with Double-A Corpus Christi which saw him allow three runs over 3.1 frames. Javier threw just 68 pitches in the outing, so he could be somewhat limited from a workload perspective against the Tigers. Rotowire.com Today, 10:43 am

    • Homers in third straight
Tucker went 1-for-5 with a solo home run Wednesday against the Yankees.

Advice: Tucker tallied a homer in his third straight game by taking Carlos Rodon yard in the opening frame. He's also mashed six of his 11 homers this season in his last ten contests, though he has only three additional hits in that span. Overall, it's been an excellent start to the campaign for Tucker, as he has also chipped in five stolen bases, 25 runs and 25 RBI across 36 contests. Rotowire.com Today, 8:51 am

    • Getting breather Thursday
Correa is out of the lineup for Thursday's game versus the Mariners.

Advice: Correa is getting a routine day off after he had started in all nine games for the Twins since he returned from the injured list April 29. Willi Castro will step in at shortstop in place of Correa, who popped a solo home run -- his second of the season -- in Wednesday's 6-3 win. Rotowire.com Today, 6:23 am

    • Allows three homers in loss
Kirby (3-3) was hit with the loss against the Twins on Wednesday, allowing four runs on four hits and one walk over five innings. He struck out four.

Advice: Kirby didn't have his best stuff Wednesday, surrendering back-to-back home runs to Carlos Correa and Trevor Larnach in the first inning, along with a third long ball off the bat of Willi Castro in the following frame. The right-hander had not allowed more than one home run in a start coming in and had held opponents to one or fewer runs in each of his previous three outings. On a positive note, Kirby has now gone at least five innings in five consecutive starts, posting a 32:3 K:BB over that stretch. Rotowire.com Today, 5:33 am

    • Secures third victory
Rodon (3-2) earned the win over Houston on Wednesday, allowing two runs on seven hits and no walks while striking out seven batters over 6.1 innings.

Advice: Rodon gave up six earned runs over four frames in his worst start of the campaign his last time out, but he bounced back with a strong showing Wednesday. The left-hander racked up 16 swinging strikes against the Astros, leading to his second-highest single-game strikeout total of the season. While Rodon's season ERA sits at a mediocre 3.56, that's largely due to the blowup outing against Baltimore. He has posted a 2.54 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 37:14 K:BB over 39 innings across his other seven starts. Rotowire.com Today, 12:25 am

    • Pops 11th homer
Henderson went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and an additional run scored Wednesday in a 7-6 extra-innings win over Washington.

Advice: Henderson gave Baltimore its first lead with a solo shot in the sixth inning. That snapped a seven-game stretch without a long ball for the shortstop, which was his longest homerless span of the campaign. Henderson is tied for second in the majors with 11 home runs on the season, and he's added 25 RBI, 28 runs, six stolen bases and a .271/.344/.563 slash line through 36 games. • Moving to cleanup
Devers is expected to hit in the four-hole for the foreseeable future, Julian McWilliams of The Boston Globe reports.

Advice: Devers slotted in at cleanup Wednesday and went 1-for-4 in a loss to Atlanta. He usually hits second in the order, but manager Alex Cora wants to separate the two lefties at the top -- Jarren Duran bats leadoff. Connor Wong hit second Wednesday against lefty Chris Sale, and Cora said he'll probably use Wilyer Abreu there against righties. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:49 pm

    • George Kirby surrenders four runs in loss to Twins
George Kirby allowed four runs with four strikeouts over five innings in a loss against the Twins on Wednesday.

Advice: Kirby surrendered a pair of solo homers to Trevor Larnach and Carlos Correa in the first inning. Willi Castro got to Kirby in the second with a solo blast before driving in a fourth run with a triple in the fourth. Kirby tossed one more scoreless frame, ending his day after five at 70 pitches. The 26-year-old right-hander holds a 4.15 ERA, 1.04 WHIP, and a 45/5 K/BB ratio across 43 1/3 innings. He’s lined up for a start against the Royals in Seattle on Monday. • Picks up first RBI, steal in loss
Friedl went 2-for-4 with a stolen base and an RBI in Wednesday's 4-3 loss to the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Friedl, playing his second game back from nearly two months on the injured list, drove in his first run of the season in the bottom of the ninth to make things interesting. He then stole his first base of the season, putting two runners in scoring position before Joe Mantiply escaped with the save for Arizona. Friedl, who batted leadoff Tuesday against a right-hander, slotted in at eighth in the order Wednesday against left-hander Jordan Montgomery. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:32 pm
