    Advice: Tovar was the only Rockie with multiple hits in the contest. This was his 10th multi-hit effort over his last 16 games, a span in which he's batting .356 (26-for-73) with four homers, nine RBI, 14 runs scored and one stolen base. The shortstop is up to a .294/.328/.481 slash line with eight homers, 24 RBI, 30 runs scored, four steals, 17 doubles and a triple over 55 contests this season.     Ezequiel Tovar went 3-for-4 with a solo homer in a win Friday against the Dodgers.

    Advice: Tovar gave the Rockies a 4-0 lead with a solo homer in the fourth off Walker Buehler. The shortstop has homered eight times in 2024 with five of them coming in May.     Lopez (3-2) yielded a run on four hits and two walks over six innings Friday, striking out eight and earning a win over the Athletics.

    Advice: Lopez worked around some trouble throughout the contest and turned in one of his best starts of the year. He recorded a season-high eight strikeouts with 16 whiffs, including nine with his slider. It was the first time he recorded more than five punchouts in a start since April 30.     Romano wasn't available for Friday's game against the Pirates due to elbow soreness, Scott Mitchell of TSN.ca reports.

    Advice: Manager John Schneider said Romano's elbow has not recovered properly following his last outing Wednesday against the White Sox. The team is officially labeling his injury as "soreness" for now, but the Jays should have a better idea of what Romano is dealing with ahead of Saturday's contest.     Reynaldo López limited the A’s to one run in six innings and struck out eight in Atlanta’s 4-2 victory Friday.

    Advice: Another quality start moves him to 3-2 with a 1.73 ERA. That López has had a very light schedule has played some role in his success to date. His 10 starts have seen him face none of the league’s top five offenses by OPS yet each of the bottom four (the Mariners, Pirates, Marlins and White Sox).
