• Not used in save opportunity
Sewald did not enter Wednesday's 4-3 win over the Reds.

Advice: Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo used Kevin Ginkel to close out what was a 4-2 lead to begin the bottom of the ninth inning, but he ran into trouble, allowing a walk and two singles. Lovullo turned to Joe Mantiply to close out the game. Presumably, the manager didn't want to push Sewald so soon after missing a month-and-a-half with an oblique injury; he threw 15 pitches Tuesday in his first game off the injured list. • Arcia posts two hits, home run against Red Sox
Orlando Arcia went 2-for-4 with a double and a solo home run in Wednesday’s victory over the Red Sox.

Advice: The home run was Arcia’s third of the campaign, and he’s now up to a .270 average. Last season, he hit .264 with 17 home runs, 65 RBI and 66 runs scored, and he’s basically on pace to replicate those numbers. Arcia’s not going to steal bases and he’s nothing spectacular at the plate, but he derives some value from playing every day for one of the best lineups in baseball. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:02 pm
  • Ozuna crushes two more home runs
Marcell Ozuna went 2-for-3 with two home runs, four RBI and a walk in the victory over the Red Sox on Wednesday.

Advice: Ozuna passed Shohei Ohtani for the league lead in home runs with 12 and also leads the league in RBI with 38. He’s also hitting .315 with a 1.042 OPS. Ozuna has carried the Braves offense so far this season. It’s a scary thought that Ozuna’s numbers could be even better if some of the hitters in front of him in the lineup like Ronald Acuña Jr. and Matt Olson were playing to their typical level of production. • Sale dominates former team Wednesday
Chris Sale was utterly dominant with six shutout innings and 10 strikeouts and picked up the win in the 5-0 victory over the Red Sox on Wednesday.

Advice: Sale lowered his ERA on the season to 2.95 with the excellent outing. He certainly showed the Red Sox what they’re missing after trading him last offseason. The win was Sale’s fifth in seven starts this season. His 52 strikeouts are in the top 10 among qualified starting pitchers. Sale is set to take on the Chicago Cubs at home next week. • Pivetta rocked in return from elbow injury
Nick Pivetta allowed five earned runs in four innings in his first start back from an elbow injury and took the loss against the Braves on Wednesday.

Advice: Pivetta wasn’t particularly sharp in his return to the mound as he allowed seven hits, including three home runs, and only recorded one strikeout. He gets a bit of a pass given the circumstances and tough matchup against the Braves on the road. Pivetta only threw 58 pitches, which is a potential concern for his next start. He’s set to face the Tampa Bay Rays in Boston next week. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:56 pm

  • Juan Soto homers, drives in five in win vs. Astros
Juan Soto went 3-for-5 with a home run and five RBI to lead the Yankees to a 9-4 victory over the Astros on Wednesday.

Advice: Soto put the Yankees on the board in the first inning with a solo blast off Spencer Arrighetti. He drove in another run with a single in the second, then plated a run with a groundout in the sixth. Soto made it five RBI on the day with a base hit in the eighth. The 25-year-old star outfielder is hitting an outstanding .333/.434/.583 with nine homers 26 runs scored, 32 RBI, and four steals across 173 plate appearances. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:51 pm

  • Jeremy Peña blasts solo homer in loss
Jeremy Peña went 3-for-4 with a solo homer against the Yankees on Wednesday.

Advice: Peña had a productive day at the plate against New York, collecting three hits on the day. He knocked a pair of base hits in the fourth and sixth innings, then took Victor González deep for a solo homer in the eighth. The 26-year-old shortstop is slashing .326/.367/.464 with four homers, 21 runs scored, 14 RBI, and five steals across 147 plate appearances. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:50 pm
  • Aaron Judge homers in win on Wednesday
Aaron Judge went 3-for-5 with a home run, two doubles, and three RBI against the Astros on Wednesday.

Advice: Judge is heating up at the plate, collecting multiple hits in three of his last four games. He started with a homer off Spencer Arrighetti to lead off the third inning. He added a double in the fourth and brought two more runs in to score with a double in the sixth. The 32-year-old slugger is slashing .237/.367/.482 with eight homers and 24 RBI across 170 plate appearances. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:48 pm

  • Red Sox activate Nick Pivetta from 15-day IL
Red Sox activated RHP Nick Pivetta from the 15-day injured list.

Advice: As anticipated, the 31-year-old hurler will rejoin the Red Sox’ rotation on Wednesday night against the Braves. Prior to landing on the injured list, Pivetta had posted a 1-1 record, 0.82 ERA, 0.82 WHIP and a 13/1 K/BB ratio over 11 innings through his first two starts. Given the fact that he threw just 62 pitches in his last rehab start — and the tough matchup against the Braves — fantasy managers may want to wait and see on this one before re-inserting him into lineups.
