    • Blows save, picks up fifth win
Kimbrel (5-2) earned the win and blew a save against the Yankees on Wednesday, allowing one run on two hits with a strikeout in the ninth inning.

Advice: Kimbrel was called upon to protect a 5-4 lead in the ninth inning but allowed a leadoff double by Anthony Volpe and a game-tying single by Giancarlo Stanton. He was able to keep the game tied and the Yankees won in the 10th inning to earn Kimbrel the win. Until Wednesday, Kimbrel had not allowed an earned run since May 8 or blown a save since April 28. On the season Kimbrel is now 16-for-20 in save chances and owns a 2.63 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and 39:11 K:BB over 27.1 innings. Rotowire.com 37 minutes ago
    • Allows five runs in return
Miller gave up five runs on six hits and three walks while striking out two over 6.1 innings in a no-decision versus the Rockies on Wednesday.

Advice: Miller missed over two months with a shoulder injury, and making his return at Coors Field was always going to be a tough task. He left the game with a lead in the seventh inning, but the Dodgers couldn't stay ahead. The 25-year-old right-hander has a 6.00 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and 20:9 K:BB over 18 innings through four starts this season. Miller continues to have plenty of upside as a young pitcher supported by a strong offense, but it may take him a few starts to get fully comfortable again in the majors. He's projected for a favorable road matchup versus the White Sox in his next outing. Rotowire.com 54 minutes ago

    • Bobby Miller surrenders five runs in return
Bobby Miller allowed five runs with two strikeouts over 6 1/3 innings in a no-decision against the Rockies on Wednesday.

Advice: Colorado isn’t exactly the best place to make a return off the injured list. He served up a three-run shot to Michael Toglia in the first inning. Miller then gave up one more run in the fourth before pitching into the seventh. He gave up a leadoff double and was replaced on the mound with one out. The inherited runner would come in to score. The 25-year-old right-hander touched 99mph on the fastball and sat at 97.5, a good sign going forward. He’ll take on the White Sox in Chicago next week. Rotoworld Today, 8:21 pm

    • Craig Kimbrel blows save against Yankees
Craig Kimbrel allowed one run on two hits on Wednesday. He struck out one, blew the save, but wound up grabbing the win.

Advice: Kimbrel let the Yankees tie this game after a lead-off double by Anthony Volpe and single by Giancarlo Stanton. This was his fourth blown save while still sporting a 2.63 ERA. Dillon Tate closed this one out for Baltimore in the 10th inning. Rotoworld Today, 8:16 pm
    • Joe Ryan pitches well in no-decision vs. Rays
Joe Ryan was terrific in a no-decision against the Rays on Wednesday evening, surrendering just one run on six hits over his six innings of work.

Advice: The 28-year-old hurler struck out five batters on the night while allowing only one base on balls. The lone tally against him came on a 359-foot solo blast off the bat of Isaac Paredes in the third inning. Ryan generated a whopping 19 swings and misses on 94 pitches in the ballgame — 12 of those on his fastball — while registering a strong CSW of 36 percent. The right-hander will carry a terrific 3.13 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and a 95/15 K/BB ratio (92 innings) into Tuesday’s matchup against the Diamondbacks in Arizona. Rotoworld Today, 7:57 pm

    • Leody Taveras plays hero with pinch-hit home run
Leody Taveras went 1-for-1 with a go-ahead two-run homer in the Rangers’ 5-3 win over the Mets on Wednesday.

Advice: Taveras was given the night off Wednesday marred in a 3-for-53 slump since the start of June, but won the game for the Rangers with his home run. He’s still a regular in the lineup because of his defense despite a miserable season at the plate. Rotoworld Today, 7:54 pm

    • Goes deep again
Swanson went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and two additional RBI in Wednesday's 6-5 win over the Giants.

Advice: Swanson went deep for the second straight game against San Francisco, giving him eight home runs for the season. The shortstop is still off to a sluggish start overall with a .214 average and .660 OPS across 64 contests, though his recent form is indicative of the type of upside that Swanson possesses, giving him plenty of fantasy appeal moving forward. • Reinstated for Wednesday's start
The Dodgers activated Miller (shoulder) from the 15-day injured list ahead of his start Wednesday against the Rockies, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Timesreports.

Advice: The right-hander has been sidelined by shoulder inflammation since mid-April, but he's ready to rejoin the big-league rotation after a four-start rehab assignment in the minors. Miller posted a 5.40 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and 18:6 K:BB over 11.2 frames in three outings prior to the injury. Walker Buehler (hip) is headed to the injured list in a corresponding move. • Jesse Winker powers Nationals past Diamondbacks
Jesse Winker slugged a go-ahead two-run homer in the sixth inning, powering the Nationals to a 3-1 victory over the Diamondbacks on Wednesday afternoon in Washington D.C.

Advice: Winker’s game-changing blast came off of Diamondbacks’ right-hander Brandon Pfaadt with two outs in the sixth inning. He got an 0-1 fastball and crushed a 399-foot (101.8 mph EV) two-run shot that plated Lane Thomas as well, giving the Nationals a 2-1 edge. The 30-year-old outfielder finished the day 1-for-3 plus a walk and is now hitting a respectable .271/.383/.410 with seven homers, 33 RBI and a career-high 11 stolen bases on the season.
